From National Day of Prayer:

Friend —

We believe that this coming year is pivotal in the work of the Kingdom of God. We are seeing an unprecedented focus on the awareness of the need of prayer – and God is placing us in the middle of it all and using us to help mobilize prayer and multiply collaboration among ministries.

Before every major outpouring and awakening of God, prayer has preceded and paved the path for the proclamation of the Word of God. Today, hundreds of ministries focused on praying, caring, and the sharing of the gospel are collaborating like never before! Initiatives like the National Day of Prayer, GO2020, The Year of the Bible 2020, EveryCampus, and Together2020, are just the beginning! We are seeing revival and awakening among God’s people – and we are believing that this is only a foretaste of what we will see in our culture, as God once again pours out His Spirit and grace upon our nation.

At the end of each year, we purposefully stop to look back and acknowledge what God has accomplished, while at the same time, we look forward to the purposes and plans that he has poured out in our hearts for the coming year.  We have assembled this all together in our annual Impact Report, and today, we would like to share a downloadable copy of this last year’s report with you.

We invite you to prayerfully read through it and then join us as we pray and press on together with one heart and mind into 2020!

“The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16b NASB

About the National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
