Ethel Maharg: It is time that Pro-life individuals in New Mexico stand up and let their voice be heard

Many of you are frustrated, disappointed and often angry with the pro-choice leadership in the Democrat Party of New Mexico and nationwide. I want to share a disturbing video showing that at least one of the Presidential Candidates does not want to give Pro-life Democrats a voice in their party. Click here to watch the interaction between Kristen Day, a Pro-life Democrat at a town hall with presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. She says ” I am a proud Pro-life Democrat. Do you want the support of Pro-life Democrats? There are 21 million of us and if so would you support more moderate platform language in the Democratic Party to ensure that the party of diversity and inclusion really does include everybody? Click here to see how he does not answer her.

Last year 6 Democrat Representatives and 8 Democrat Senators crossed party lines to stand with us for life.They did so at a great price. Because they did not do the Governor’s bidding, they now have a target on their back and every one of them has an opponent in the primary. We vowed to stand with them. It is time we pay that vow.

It is time that Pro-life individuals in New Mexico stand up and let their voice be heard. One way to do this is by becoming part of the Party Leadership as a Delegate. Delegates have the privilege of voting on the Party platform and can choose which candidates get on the ballot. We want to make sure that pro-life candidates get support in the ballot process and we want to make sure our pro-life voice is heard as we speak for those who cannot speak. If you are pro-life, I urge you to get involved and attend your Ward or Precinct Meeting happening during the next 30 days.
