Step Up Higher This Christmas…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Forgiveness is on my mind once again this morning. Forgiveness is only through God’s grace and our choice. Sometimes we have to walk this out day by day, minute by minute. If we allow unforgiveness to stay within us, it is poisonous to our very soul. It eats at us and eats at us, until our hearts become hardened. It also turns into bitterness. Remember when we were kids we would try to say this saying three times really fast? Betty bought some butter but the butter Betty bought was bitter, so Betty bought some better butter to make the bitter butter better? Little did we know what we were saying. I only know one Betty and she is such a loving person. She certainly isn’t the bitter Betty, but I continue to meet other people that are suffering from that terrible disease called bitterness.

I have had to deal with unforgiveness in my own life and have journeyed the process of forgiveness with others. Oh, thank God for his mercy and grace. It’s only by receiving his forgiveness we can offer it to another soul.

Today, let’s offer forgiveness once again. Let’s live free everyday. Even if the wound is fresh, let’s be quick to forgive and allow God to do what he does best, work it all out. Amen? Amen. Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for forgiveness. Give us the grace to forgive others as you forgive us. Mark 11:25 tells us when we stand praying, if we hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that our Father in heaven may forgive us our sins. Forgiveness is not earned, deserved and it doesn’t make what’s wrong right. It does however free us to live out our lives according to your desires. By forgiving others, we set the captive free. That captive sometimes is us.

Father, purify our hearts, our motives and purify our minds, so that we can look at the world through your eyes and continue our journey with the same forgiveness, love, compassion, joy, understanding that you have bestowed upon us.

Father, thank you as we release forgiveness, you will apply the healing balm of Gilead. Amen.

Have a blessed day Gods beautiful people. Walk in forgiveness this Christmas and step up higher.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15
