UPDATED: Division in America: Christianity Today Calls for President Trump’s Removal From Office Following Impeachment

President Happy Truman on December 24th, 1952 while lighting the National Christmas Tree said,

“Let us remember always to try to act … in the spirit of the Prince of Peace.
He bore in His heart no hate and no malice – nothing but love for all mankind. We should … follow His example … Let us also pray for our enemies …
Through Jesus Christ the world will yet be a better and a fairer place.”

President Dwight Eisenhower stated December 24, 1953, lighting the National Christmas Tree:

George Washington long ago rejected exclusive dependence upon mere materialistic values.  In the bitter and critical winter at Valley Forge, when the cause of liberty was so near defeat, his recourse was sincere and earnest prayer…

As religious faith is the foundation of free government, so is prayer an indispensable part of that faith.”

The following is an indictment on all of us in America……..

The division is everywhere…….on this very serious situation. Even families are split on impeachment and so are Pastors and Church leaders.

This division did not start with President Trump it has been brewing in this country for years and years, which includes the Church, it started in the 60’s. The America Church is struggling. Some of my Pastor friends will not go to prayer meetings, because they say, they have turned into political events. Abortion and same sex marriage has divided the Church and even some denominations. Many individual Churches have split on the above issues over the years.

Not only are we a divided nation, we are divided as Christians. Now we are labels like, far left, left, far right, right, conservative, red, blue, moderate,…. etc…….We have become a Country of “LABELS”

We are all guilty of creating this division. My Daddy told me to leave this world a better place than I found it, he certainly did, so far I failed at that. We really are messing with the minds of our children, school shootings, all the hate and violence, this is the world we are handing them.

I visited with a 99-year-old WW II Veteran the other day at the grocery store. I said to him, Your generation is called “the greatest generation ever, I asked him, What will historians call this present generation? He looked at me and smiled and said….nothing. Silence speaks volumes!  I am very sad about the “foot print” we are leaving future generations.

This morning I was reading about these kids that are recovering from their Mom being found dead and stuffed in a recycling bin east of Albuquerque, that was 3 years ago and now their Dad died last week of a heart attack. Just think of what these kids are going through!

This one got my attention…….stopped me in my tracks… since CT was founded by Billy Graham……

In an editorial titled “Trump Should Be Removed From Office,” Christianity Today editor-in-chief Mark Galli invoked the mission of the magazine’s founder, Billy Graham, to “help evangelical Christians interpret the news in a manner that reflects their faith.” FOX NEWS Report

Christian Post: Why I Stand By 45

I fear for our Country leading up to the next election……The last Presidential campaign turned violent at times, I fear more violence is coming in 2020. I remember when all hell broke out in Albuquerque with the visit of President Trump.

The Republicans and Democrats are both at fault here….they have all made a mess of things, this is why I am a Registered Independent here in New Mexico. FGGAM is a non-partisan Ministry with a Christian news reporting service with a Biblical Worldview.

One Pastor here from New Mexico, who I greatly respect told me this morning, “They all need to be ousted.” Meaning he is sick and tired of all the politics.

Jesus is the answer not man……stop the hate, stop the mean talk……we are setting such a bad example for our Children. They are growing up in chaos, pure chaos, Jesus is not of chaos, Jesus is peace. No wonder we are losing generation after generation, they see how we misbehave. Christians need to behave, a man, an Air Force Veteran, told me this week that he did not want anything to do with Christians because they act crazy. Yes, sorry to say many speak bad things, even on Facebook. Do people see JESUS in you? In all you do and say? Stand firm in love and on God’s Word, you cannot lose.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

This post is a wake up call:

Millennials are leaving religion and not coming back
Millennials have earned a reputation for reshaping industries and institutions — shaking up the workplace, transforming dating culture, and rethinking parenthood. They’ve also had a dramatic impact on American religious life. Four in ten millennials now say they are religiously unaffiliated, according to the Pew Research Center. In fact, millennials (those between the ages of…

From Adrian Rogers:

“In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10:19DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Your tongue can get you into a lot of trouble. There is nothing that can do more damage to your relationships than your words.Proverbs 17:27 says, “He that hath knowledge spareth his words.” That is, if you’re smart, you won’t talk so much. When you do talk, keep your words warm and sweet because you may have to eat them later.

There’s an old saying I heard a Rabbi use once that reminds us:
“The ears are open and out. They’re unguarded, but the tongue is behind ivory bars.”

  • When you’re talking, you’re not learning.
  • When you’re not learning, you’re not communicating.
  • When you’re not communicating, there will be no intimacy in your relationships.

ACTION POINT:
In what ways has your mouth gotten you into trouble this week? Confess those times before the Lord and ask for strength and wisdom to be a better communicator.

Is our nation in danger of losing itself?

Dec 20, 2019

From the writings of the Rev. Billy GrahamQ: Is our nation in danger of losing itself? — N.F.

A: The greatest city on earth for 1,000 years, the dominating power of the world, a city of a million and a half people and the capital of the mightiest empire the world has known, built on seven hills — that was Rome. Gibbon’s Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire lists five contributing factors in its disintegration: (1) the rapid increase and the consequent undermining of the home; (2) the craze for pleasure; (3) the building of gigantic armaments when the real enemy was within; (4) the decadence of the people; (5) the decay of religion.

That which was the contributing cause of the downfall of the great nations of the past, entered the core of the Roman way of life until in A.D. 410 when Rome fell without a battle. Where were her mighty legions, strong shields and bucklers, and her mighty generals? They were powerless under the grip of the dread disease of sin! The foundations that had made her strong had been eaten by cancerous sin.

Our greatest enemy is the internal decadence that is causing us to rush faster than any civilization before us toward destruction and Hell. As a result, thousands of young people are coming out of our educational system either as skeptics, agnostics or atheists with little or no regard for God.

A U.S. governor declared, “Our country is sick because it has forgotten God. Democracy can be saved only by the spiritual strength God gives to His people, and spiritual life is needed today as it has never been before.” No nation which relegates the Bible to the background, which disregards the love of God and flouts His claims, can long survive.

The Bible says, “[God] makes nations great, and destroys them (Job 12:23). But the Psalmist also records God’s promise: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).
