Why Are These People Smiling?

“Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” – Nehemiah 8:10

This couple and their village have been listening to the New Testament in their native language, perhaps for the very first time. Faith Comes By Hearing now provides Bible recordings in 1315 languages spoken by 6.1 billion people. Over 85 million people in virtually every country have been reached through their wide range of programs.

Their continuing goal: To partner with like-minded ministries to record Scripture in every language of the world that needs it by the year 2033, and make these recordings freely available by every means possible.

Over the past year my wife and I, along with the generous help of others, have had the privilege of partnering with this amazing ministry by sending God’s word by way of audio Bibles known as Proclaimers, to various locations in Nigeria, so that people who have never heard the gospel in their heart languages may listen to God’s truth. At the end of this year, by God’s grace, we will have delivered over 200 units. Most will be used in remote villages in listening groups, where the majority of people do not read or write.

Thank you for your prayers. As our friends in Nigeria say, “God is good all the time. All the time God is good!” Maranatha!
