Who Commands Your Destiny?

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I chuckle at times how we think we have worked everything out and have control over every situation in our lives. I have seen the most prideful people, who climbed corporate ladders, fall in a blink of an eye. I have seen people who lied, cheated, and stolen, thinking that would get them where they are going. Going up seemed exciting, but seeing them going down was painful to watch, even at a distance. I have witnessed people done wrong even in the Christian community. Some of the most horrendous things done or said to them, all in the name of Jesus. Some of these things were to get ahead of someone else, so they thought. Oh my, so much happens in the world around us. One thing for sure, nothing escapes his watchful eye. He is the God that sees it all. He is the God in charge of our destinies.

I know in today’s world we are told we need to watch out for number #1 right? I don’t think so. Matthew 25:43-45 tells us: I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Let’s ask Jesus today, who is the least? We may just find no matter how important we may think we are, we are the least. We are in need of humbling, lest we fall. Proverbs 16:18 tells us that pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Let’s choose to be like Jesus.

Maybe God is asking us today to give from our abundance of blessings to another. We all have something to give. A smile, a kind word, a hug all costs the same, nothing. Maybe it’s giving of our time, to help another. Whatever it is, let’s ask God to gives us eyes to see the assignment laid out before us today. Let’s allow him to be in charge of our destinies, Amen? Amen. Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you that you taught us by example. In Matthew 5:3-10 The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”.

Father, thank you for commanding our destinies. Fill us up with the power of your Holy Spirit today. Keep us humble, pliable and may the world see you in us and through us today and every day. Amen

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Stay Blessed!

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord,
and it is marvelous in our eyes. Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed. (Matthew 32:42-44)
