Thought of the day:

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.” Matthew 25:31-32 NKJV

We have to ask ourselves, are we a sheep or a goat?

When we look at this passage in it’s entirety, we learn that those whom He considers sheep, are the ones who are selfless. They are the ones who don’t seek gain and are willing to help others. They are not seeking for notoriety but that others may be taken care of. They are the ones who are sharing His Love with others that they may know Christ. Their reward? Eternity in Heaven with Him.

The ones that are considered goats are the ones who have no regard for others. They don’t lend a hand to someone who might be hurting. They don’t show love or compassion. If they do, it’s for their own gain and glory. They are not sharing The Gospel with others and are seeking profitable gain only for themselves. Their reward? Eternity in the outer darkness where there’s weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We need to be willing to help others, even when it’s hard. If we proclaim that we follow Christ, we need to show it to others so that they know Him too. The idea to do so shouldn’t be just because of the reward we will receive, but because He showed His Love to us and we should want others to experience that as well. It in turn shows our love to Him as well as to others.

Let’s learn to be more like sheep and show His Love to others.

(Quick note: To be a sheep of Christ is not at all the idea of being a sheep who just follows a crowd. Allowing Him to be your Shepherd is allowing Him to Protect, Guide, Provide for, and Love you. This is how we learn to grow in our relationship with Him.)

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
