Many Pastors no longer preach SALT!

My life verse:

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matthew 5:13

I agree with this article below…….so many Pastors want to ‘tickle ears’ and have a pep rally…..Chuck Colson said years ago on his radio program that the American Church had turned into a “high school pep rally” I agree! I was running the control board on KKIM that night when Chuck said that.

‘I have come to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable’ is my motto, and I do it in the love of Jesus. People need to hear the FULL GOSPEL! I care about them, I do not want them to go to hell. It is a sin not to present the FULL GOSPEL.

I find that when I am so close to God, He gives me the words for my sermons. He gives me the ways to present the Gospel in love and accountability. I call it ‘stand firm in the love of Jesus’. Presenting the truth of Jesus Christ in love.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

When you love someone, you always tell them the truth in love.

Being a Preacher is like raising kids, stand firm in love. Letting your children know that there are ramifications to bad behavior. Too many Preachers are afraid to preach the ramifications, to preach hell. They are to worried about being popular and the offering plate.

If I am not truthful in all things, I cannot sleep. A clear conscience is a soft pillow.

Sadly, INSP TV Network and many Christian Channels are full of ‘prosperity gospel’ preachers. This preacher, Mike Murdock on INSP on Saturday mornings before Gunsmoke says, “Send in your $1000,00 seed money and put it on your credit card, you will be blessed” HOW AWFUL!

This world we live in does not like accountability, it likes ‘pep rallies’. This world does not like to think about the ramifications of bad behavior, like a Pastor telling someone to put ‘seed money’ on a credit card and you will be blessed… So many Christians do not like accountability.

By the way, any broadcaster that puts stuff like that on the air, should be ashamed of themselves. I was taught right!

We are paying a dear price for “tickling ears”

If you look at America, you see a Country that is in very bad shape, we are failing.

How can a God of love send anyone to Hell?

Oct 22, 2019

From the writings of the Rev. Billy GrahamQ: How can a God of love send anyone to Hell? — H.B.

A: God doesn’t send anyone to Hell. The Bible declares that Hell was never intended for man but for the devil and his demons (Matthew 25:41). Those who reject Christ choose to follow Satan, and they will follow him right into his ultimate destiny, in spite of all that God has done to save them from the fiery abyss.

God has reached out in a dramatic way to show us the way to Heaven. He sent His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for mankind by shedding His blood to cover man’s sin. He has sent His Holy Spirit as a warning, and the Bible calls out: “Prepare to meet your God” (Amos 4:12). What more can a loving God do than to give His perfect Son to pay man’s penalty for breaking His law, disobeying Him, and rejecting the Savior?

We are free agents. God didn’t create us as machines to be compelled to love Him. We choose to obey or to disobey Him. By His marvelous grace and mercy, He’s given us the power of free choice. Those who reject or neglect Christ will be in Hell. No man will go to Hell because he lived an immoral life, for Christ Himself will forgive those who repent of sin and received Him as Savior. People go to Hell because they do not repent; rejecting God’s perfect plan of salvation.

“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).

The only way to salvation is acceptance of Christ as Savior. The way to Hell is rejection of Him. “There is salvation in no one else” (Acts 4:12, ESV). How wonderful that our loving God would give us the choice to love Him back.

From another Hero of Faith of mine, Adrian Rogers:

BIBLE MEDITATION:

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?Romans 10:14

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

You are either a helper or a hurter when it comes to reaching the world for Christ. Why? Because, like “Big Brother,” the world is watching your Sunday-go-to-church behavior and how it compares to your behavior the rest of the week.

Do they see you giving your time and resources to help them when they’re hurting? Do they witness how you treat your family? Or how you entertain your friends? Or do you even know their names?

ACTION POINT:

The greatest argument for Christ and the greatest argument against Christ is the life of a Christian. Hymn writer Philip P. Bliss penned, “Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave! Some poor fainting struggling seaman You may rescue, you may save.”
