God Grows Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Footprint Into 92 Countries Worldwide

‘My Life Will Never Be the Same in My Coaching Journey,’ Said an FCA Leader Impacting Coaches and Athletes in Africa

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—This fall, 61 Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.orgInternational Leaders and staff from 12 countries were trained to help realize the FCA vision to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

Traveling to FCA’s Support Center in Kansas City from Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova and across the USA, attendees gleaned inspiration, instruction and insight from several FCA leaders here in the U.S., such as Director of Field Operations Silas Mullis, Executive Vice President of Training Debbie Jobe, Leadership Coach Dan Webster and President and CEO Shane Williamson.

“I learned that I need to let God spend more time with me, not me with Him,” said Efren from Mexico. “I want to be guided by Him every day, even in the smallest areas of the ministry, and not rely on my knowledge or experience.”

The global attendees loved meeting new friends in FCA and fellowshipping with those who are doing similar work in all corners of the world.

“It was a blessing to hear everyone’s stories and to pray as brothers and sisters,” said Miguel from the Dominican Republic.

This impactful international training session was just one way FCA reaches coaches, athletes, volunteers and staff around the globe. And FCA International’s footprint is gaining new ground each year.

FCA recently released its 2019 International Report, which shared how FCA helped coaches and athletes realize that this year’s ministry theme of “Let’s Go” is a reminder of Christians’ life pursuit to go and make disciples of all nations.

FCA lived out this command this past year as the ministry grew to operating in 92 countries worldwide—up from 84 countries in 2018. The 298 international leaders reached 29,852 coaches and athletes by hosting

345 Camps. FCA International’s Huddle program expanded from 1,775 to 1,913 groups, reaching 39,768

attendees in their communities.

“Transformation happens when coaches and athletes circle up and connect year-round to study God’s Word,” said FCA Chief Field Officer Dan Britton. “We hope more will join FCA in prayer to engage, equip and empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples in all nations.”

Through the Huddles and Camps internationally, God transformed the hearts and lives of 6,617 who made faith decisions for Him this year.

“I believe that my life will never be the same in my coaching journey,” said an FCA leader from Africa. “Thanks to FCA for changing coaches’ lifestyle.”

Likewise, FCA International conducted 141 3Dimensional Coaching workshops for 5,233 attendees. The 3Dimensional Coaches Academy is a training course designed to help coaches become transformational in their coaching by fulfilling their personal transformational purpose. The result is that coaches learn to coach their players in all three dimensions—body, mind and heart.

“God is using 3D Coaching to expand the vision in starting new FCA Camps, clinics and chaplaincy,” remarked an FCA leader from Latin America. “It was the spark we needed to start a big fire.”
