“It is hard to stomach. … These are our kids…” 17-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Albuquerque

My heart is broken once again. What is wrong Albuquerque? Do you not see what is going on? We are killing our own through shootings, abortions and other evil ways. Satan is having his way with so many here, they are under control of Satan.

The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs it’s thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the path of hopelessness and self-destruction.

“We see both the offenders and victims in a lot of these cases are teenagers involved in this deadly violence,” APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said. “It is hard to stomach. … These are our kids; they shouldn’t be in that position, either side, they shouldn’t have a gun, and they shouldn’t be in that kind of confrontation.”Albuquerque Journal Report

I am speechless at this point, murder after murder in Albuquerque. We are weeping and mourning, we are in prayer for this dear family…….

One person died in a shooting at a high school homecoming party in northeast Albuquerque near Montgomery and Eubank early Sunday morning. Family members told KOB 4 the victim was 17-year-old Sean Markey, a senior at Sandia High School. KOB TV REPORTS

From the writings of Billy Graham:

Humans do not decide who Jesus is. Jesus Himself said that He was divine. Faith in Him is believing this truth. He said, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30). His miracles back up His claim, as did His assertion that He could forgive sins — something only God can do (Luke 5:20-25).

Repeatedly, the Gospel writers pointed out the way He fulfilled the Old Testament’s prophecies concerning the Messiah, who was to be called “Immanuel,” which means, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). But Jesus’ divinity was demonstrated most of all by His resurrection from the dead and His ascension into Heaven — events that were witnessed by hundreds.

What difference does it make? Only a sinless, divine Savior could save us, for only He could become the perfect and final sacrifice for our sins. We should ponder this and accept it as truth, because this is truth that has stood the test of time. We should thank Him daily for leaving Heaven’s glory and coming to earth for us. He walked the dusty ground of earth and suffered unimaginable pain, and He did it because of His love for mankind.

God could not consistently love mankind if He had not provided for the judgment of evildoers. But there is one thing that God cannot do; He cannot forgive unrepentant sinners. His desire is for all people to find His redeeming love. Let Christ occupy every area of our lives that others may see Jesus in us.

Pastor Paul Holt (pictured above from yesterday) “Salvation does not come from the Republican Party or the Democrat Party, but from Jesus”

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:6 WRATH OF GOD-HAPPENING NOW IN AMERICA

Someone once asked Billy Graham, “If Christianity is valid, why is there so much evil in the world?” To this the famous preacher replied, “With so much soap, why are there so many dirty people in the world? Christianity, like soap, must be personally applied if it is to make a difference in our lives.

Too many Preachers don’t like to preach or teach of the wrath of God because it does not tickle the ears. Yesterday I heard one of the best sermons on the wrath of God at First Baptist Church in Magdalena by Pastor Paul Holt. The wrath of God is happening right now in America, we are a mess because we are being disobedient. Why do you think all these horrible things are happening here? From the terrible mess in Washington D.C. to vaping deaths??? We are being DISOBEDIENT TO GOD! THERE ARE RAMIFICATIONS TO DISOBEYING GOD! I don’t know about the home you grew up in, but if we were disobedient to to God or our parents, we were punished! There is no political solution to this, your salvation will not be found in a political party, only in Jesus Christ. So many Americans have made our present day problems a political problem, and they think they can solve it through politicians!!!…So very wrong, wrong! We are all to blame, we have let our Country fall down…….The majority of Americans never enter a Church anymore. It is going to take a Great Awakening! Have the majority of Americans gone deaf to God?

Too many Americans have made politics their God!

The Tickling ears brings deafness to the True Word of God. Read the Bible.

It seems to me that Football, Baseball, golf, gambling, drinking, boating, hunting and other things are all American pastimes these days….and God has been left behind by so many.

You see, so many ‘so called Christians’ do not even read God’s Word everyday….they might take a verse and run with it…..They have their favorite verses they post on Facebook. We are in need of culture changing Christians, mature Christians.. we do not need any more high school pep rallies!

The wrath of God is upon New Mexico and America.

What are you going to do about?

BE OBEDIENT TO GOD!

LOVE ALL!

CARRY OUT THE GREAT COMMISSION.

SPEND AT LEAST AN HOUR A DAY READING YOUR BIBLE AND PRAYING!

REVIVAL STARTS WITH YOU!

BEHAVE YOURSELF!

BE OBEDIENT TO GOD!

APPLY THE BIBLE TO YOUR LIFE!

STAND FIRM IN THE WORD OF GOD AND LOVE ALL!

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.

George Whitefield & the Great Awakening Revival
George Whitefield had attended Oxford with John and Charles Wesley, who began the Methodist revival movement within the Anglican Church.
In 1733, when he finally understood and believed the Gospel, George Whitefield exclaimed:
“Joy-joy unspeakable-joy that’s full of, big with glory!”
Beginning in 1740, George Whitefield preached seven times in America.
He spread the Great Awakening Revival, which helped unite the Colonies prior to the Revolutionary War.
Whitefield’s preaching stirred crowds with enthusiasm, which was criticized by the formal, established churches of the day.
When they closed their doors to him, Whitefield began preaching out-of-doors.
Crowds grew so large that no church could have held the number of people, sometimes being as large as 25,000.
Ben Franklin wrote in his Autobiography that George Whitefield’s voice could be heard over 500 feet away:
“He preached one evening from the top of the Court-house steps … Streets were filled with his hearers …
I had the curiosity to learn how far he could be heard by retiring backwards down the street … and found his voice distinct till I came near Front-street.”
Ben Franklin continued his description of evangelist George Whitefield:
“Multitudes of all denominations attended his sermons …
It was wonderful to see the change soon made in the manners of our inhabitants.
From being thoughtless or indifferent about religion, it seemed as if all the world were growing religious, so that one could not walk thro’ the town in an evening without hearing psalms sung in different families of every street.”
Sarah Edwards, the wife of Jonathan Edwards, wrote to her brother in New Haven concerning the effects George Whitefield’s ministry:
“It is wonderful to see what a spell he casts over an audience by proclaiming the simplest truths of the Bible …
Our mechanics shut up their shops, and the day laborers throw down their tools to go and hear him preach, and few return unaffected.”
Ben Franklin helped finance the building of an auditorium in Philadelphia for George Whitefield to preach in, which was latter donated as the first building of the University of Pennsylvania.
A bronze statue of George Whitefield is located on the University’s campus, in the Dormitory Quadrangle.
The Great Awakening Revival resulted in the founding of many universities, such as Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth, Rutgers and Columbia.
Franklin printed Whitefield’s journal and sermons.
Being Postmaster in Philadelphia, Franklin helped spread Whitefield’s sermons through colonial America.
In one sermon, George Whitefield proclaimed:
“Never rest until you can say, ‘the Lord our righteousness.’ Who knows but the Lord may have mercy, nay, abundantly pardon you?
Beg of God to give you faith; and if the Lord give you that, you will by it receive Christ, with his righteousness, and his all …
None, none can tell, but those happy souls who have experienced it with what demonstration of the Spirit this conviction comes …”
Whitefield continued:
“Oh, how amiable, as well as all sufficient, does the blessed Jesus now appear! With what new eyes does the soul now see the Lord its righteousness! Brethren, it is unutterable …
Those who live godly in Christ, may not so much be said to live, as Christ to live in them … They are led by the Spirit as a child is led by the hand of its father …
They hear, know, and obey his voice … Being born again in God they habitually live to, and daily walk with God.”
George Whitefield’s influence was so profound, that when there was a threatened war with Spain and France, Ben Franklin drafted and printed a General Fast for Pennsylvania, December 12, 1747:
“As the calamities of a bloody War, in which our Nation is now engaged, seem every Year more nearly to approach us …
there is just reason to fear that unless we humble ourselves before the Lord & amend our Ways, we may be chastised with yet heavier Judgments.
We have, therefore, thought fit … to appoint … the seventh Day of January next, to be observed throughout this Province as a Day of Fasting & Prayer, exhorting all … to join with one accord in the most humble & fervent Supplications;
That Almighty God would mercifully interpose and still the Rage of War among the Nations & put a stop to the effusion of Christian Blood.”
In 1752, George Whitefield wrote to Benjamin Franklin, who had invented the lightning rod:
“My Dear Doctor … I find that you grow more and more famous in the learned world.”
In 1764, George Whitefield received a letter from Benjamin Franklin, in which Franklin ended with the salutation:
“Your frequently repeated Wishes and Prayers for my Eternal as well as temporal Happiness are very obliging. I can only thank you for them, and offer you mine in return.”
In 1769, George Whitefield wrote Benjamin Franklin on the night before his last trip to America.
In this last surviving letter, Whitefield shares his desire that both he and Franklin would:
“… be in that happy number of those who is the midst of the tremendous final blaze shall cry Amen.”
Franklin wrote to George Whitefield:
“I sometimes wish you and I were jointly employed by the Crown to settle a colony on the Ohio … a strong body of religious and industrious people! …
Might it not greatly facilitate the introduction of pure religion among the heathen, if we could, by such a colony, show them a better sample of Christians than they commonly see in our Indian traders?”
George Whitefield died SEPTEMBER 30, 1770.
As he was dying, he declared:
“How willing I would ever live to preach Christ! But I die to be with Him!”
Whitefield left his orphanage in Georgia to Selina Shirley, the Countess of Huntingdon, who had financially helped both Whitefield and John Wesley in the spread of Methodism.
She financed the construction of 64 chapels in Wales and England, supported missions in Sierra Leone, Africa, and was the first female principal of Trefeca College in Wales, which educated Methodist ministers.
The Countess of Huntingdon was patron of the famous black female poet, Phillis Wheatley, who corresponded with John Newton, author of the song Amazing Grace, and with General George Washington, who was so impressed he met with her at his headquarters in Cambridge.
George Whitefield was one of the first ministers to publicly preach the Gospel to slaves. Though advocating for improved treatment of slaves, he sadly did not seek to end the institution.
Phillis Wheatley wrote in her poem, “On the Death of the Rev. Mr. George Whitefield,” (1770):
HAIL, happy saint, on thine immortal throne,
Possest of glory, life, and bliss unknown;
We hear no more the music of thy tongue,
Thy wonted auditories cease to throng.
Thy sermons in unequall’d accents flow’d,
And ev’ry bosom with devotion glow’d;
Thou didst in strains of eloquence refin’d
Inflame the heart, and captivate the mind.
Unhappy we the setting sun deplore,
So glorious once, but ah! it shines no more.
Behold the prophet in his tow’ring flight!
He leaves the earth for heav’n’s unmeasur’d height,
And worlds unknown receive him from our sight.
There Whitefield wings with rapid course his way,
And sails to Zion through vast seas of day.
Thy pray’rs, great saint, and thine incessant cries
Have pierc’d the bosom of thy native skies.
Thou moon hast seen, and all the stars of light,
How he has wrestled with his God by night.
He pray’d that grace in ev’ry heart might dwell,
He long’d to see America excel;
He charg’d its youth that ev’ry grace divine
Should with full lustre in their conduct shine;
That Saviour, which his soul did first receive,
The greatest gift that ev’n a God can give,
He freely offer’d to the num’rous throng,
That on his lips with list’ning pleasure hung.
“Take him, ye wretched, for your only good,
Take him ye starving sinners, for your food;
Ye thirsty, come to this life-giving stream,
Ye preachers, take him for your joyful theme;
Take him my dear Americans, he said,
Be your complaints on his kind bosom laid:
Take him, ye Africans, he longs for you,
“Impartial Saviour is his title due:
Wash’d in the fountain of redeeming blood,
You shall be sons, and kings, and priests to God.”
Great Countess, we Americans revere
Thy name, and mingle in thy grief sincere;
New England deeply feels, the Orphans mourn,
Their more than father will no more return.
But, though arrested by the hand of death,
Whitefield no more exerts his lab’ring breath,
Yet let us view him in th’ eternal skies,
Let ev’ry heart to this bright vision rise;
While the tomb safe retains its sacred trust,
Till life divine re-animates his dust.
In one of his sermons, George Whitefield declared:
“Would you have peace with God?
Away, then, to God through Jesus Christ, who has purchased peace; the Lord Jesus has shed his heart’s blood for this.
He died for this; he rose again for this; he ascended into the highest heaven, and is now interceding at the right hand of God.”

When modern Christians think of revival, it is often forgotten or not understood that God has brought revival to man way before the movements of the Spirit at Pentecost and up to today. It is a widely documented fact that God, by His Spirit, has brought salvation to vast amounts of men and women, and girls and boys through various and widespread revivals.

Many might forget to include the revival of God’s people throughout the Old Testament. During the years of the judges, times of falling away from following God, or a spiritual deadness toward the One True God, would often be followed by periods of awakening.

You might recall when Israel demanded to have kings as neighboring nations had, God allowed such and chose leaders for them. During those years, a quickening of the spirit of the people spread across Israel under David and his son Solomon.

Later, the one nation became two, and in northern Israel, no revival activity happened, but in Judah, revivals of lesser degree came under the leaderships of Asa, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah, and Josiah. Through them, the Spirit of God moved God’s people to return to the Lord in faith and worship.

Tragically, both nations lapsed into idolatry forcing judgment from God on them by the Babylonians.  Again, in His timing, God sent another awakening, as He captivated the hearts of Nehemiah and Ezra.   God directed and used them to lead God’s beloved people back to their homeland to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple of God.

The period of the New Testament is framed around Jesus, the Logos, the Word, God’s only Begotten Son. He opened the way for the revival of man, as He stated He was “the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” and not one person can come to the Father (revival) except through Him.    His resurrection was a kind of revival among His close followers and disciples lifting the sorrows of the crucifixion.

The Church was born and ordained from the Holy Spirit fires of revival at Pentecost subsequent to days of effectual, fervent prayer of about 120 faithful followers tucked away in an upper room (Acts 2:1-4). Revival has always been a move of the Holy Spirit as He awakens the need of, and desire for, a great move of God to awaken His Church, and the communities of the local churches, to new life in Him.

We of the church age, have longed for, and been blessed by the move of God’s Spirit to revival in many sections of the globe; some were small pockets of revival, while others on a grander scale, as we would measure. Four of the larger movements are briefly mentioned here:

The first I mention was a movement from1726 to roughly 1756. In this God used these notable figures of preachers: John Wesley, George Whitefield, along with Theodore Frelinghuysen, Samuel Davies, and Jonathan Edwards.  Nearly 40,000 people came to Christ and about 150 new churches were formed in New England areas, while thousands more were saved in the south and between.

Then there was the revival brought by God using Charles Finney from 1821 through 1840 This revival was more widespread though not as long in time, as it seemed to have more organization and thought by Finney. It was reported that he would arrive in a town, carry on some gatherings, and often many in that town would be saved.  Some have testified people would be under such conviction just hearing his speaking that they would begin to moan and weep.  He was so empowered by the Holy Spirit that people would see him in passing and be moved to repent.

Another falling away from God took place from 1840 to 1858.  This was followed by a national scale revival from 1858 to 1859 which rushed in to overtake many churches.    This movement was dominated by countless lay persons and widespread prayer meetings held at many different hours of the day.

In the time period being 1904 to 1909, there was a move of God on a more international scale than any of the others mentioned.  It is thought that there was a more wide spread hunger for God in the world at large, and so much prayer seeking His face, that God’s blessing was poured out upon many more nations.   It is said that 100,000 persons were saved within a 6 month period in Wales under the prayers and preaching Evan Roberts.  Later the revival converged in England, Ireland, India, South Africa, South America, and the United States.

Since that time we have only seen smaller moves of God, though powerful in themselves, in varied locations in America.   This nation is overripe for a revival, and I will come back to this thought in a moment. But I want to give you a glimpse of the hope we in America can be inspired by if we are in the right spirit to receive it.

Let this sink in. I read that the nation having the most impact with new believers right now is the nation of Iran! Did you capture the power behind that? Jesus is visiting Muslims at a rapid rate causing hundreds of thousands of conversions.

Then, in another article read today the projection is that China may be the most Christian nation in the world in 15 years!   Now, while this thought excites me, it doesn’t completely surprise me. Several years ago while prayerwalking throughout the nation of China, and visiting some underground churches, I received a promise from God while standing on the stage of a communist theater that the Gospel would be preached right there on the very boards on which I stood. I was humbled and proud to hear the promise of the LORD, and I claimed that promise as true and complete as I prayed the Gospel in that spot.

Beloved, God is still working and drawing peoples and nations to Himself. He is the only One Who knows the limits of His patience for this sin-sick world. He is not bound by time; He is Eternal! He has a heart to save! He has a heart to draw! He has the power to convict, to bring brokenness into the evilest man’s heart. What He seems to be awaiting, though I see evidence that He is already powerfully working here, I feel He is waiting for the American Church to humble herself, turn from her wicked ways, pray (in repentance), and seek His face once again.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”                  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Come on, believer; come on, Church, let’s get this finally right!   Pray On!

We are in constant prayer here at FGGAM for the state of New Mexico. Most every breath I take is a prayer, that is how I get through my days, I also PRAISE MY LORD when I am praying, for all HE has done and will do for me and my family and the ministry. It just breaks my heart of how violent New Mexico has become, and that we continue to see  babies aborted and so many murders in Albuquerque and in the state. This month 5-year-old Renezmae Calzada of Espanola was killed. Think about it today…..that babies are being killed here…..the Church needs SALT!

Think today and all days the pain of the families that have lost loved ones to murders in New Mexico……all the families that have been turned upside down, never to be the same again…..missing their loved one.

Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable

Pastor Debra Scott leads us in prayer…….

Debra Scott Lord we repent on behalf of the people of New Mexico. We turn to you and not to our own ways. We Trust in the Lord with our whole heart and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways we acknowledge you and you will direct the people of New Mexico’s steps. We bind every demonic force that raises itself above your ways. Lord open blind eyes take out hearts of stone and give us hearts that are tender to you. We speak Psalm 91 over NM Lord heal our land. Forgive us for the blood of innocent unborn children murdered because their lives weren’t valued. Forgive us Lord and give out gifts of full repentance.

Amen

Saturday Morning Update:

ANOTHER DEADLY NIGHT IN ALBUQUERQUE:

Pray for Albuquerque….for many life does not mean anything……so many minds are controlled by Satan.

Last night Sharon and I went for a little drive……we were sharing how beautiful Albuquerque is, the views, the Sandias……but the heart and soul of the city is very sick……so very tragic……man is destroying God’s wonderful creation, man is killing man, babies are bring aborted……we weep……

We have a war going on in Albuquerque, …..Spiritual Warfare

We must commit to prayer those who reject God’s salvation and realize that each person will be held accountable when they stand before the Lord someday. God longs for all people to come to repentance (1 Timothy 2:4), but salvation is on God’s terms and not ours.

God’s Word call’s the mind of the natural man “blinded” Read 2 Cor. 4:4 The scriptures also call’s the mind of the natural man, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim 6:5, “unspiritual” Col 12:18

Last nights shootings occurred just eight days after five people were fatally shot and six others wounded in three separate incidents across the Duke City on Sept. 12.

The latest round of shootings began last night near the University of New Mexico campus.

Another Deadly Night in Albuquerque

Drugs??? There is a HUGE PUSH to make pot legal in New Mexico! We pray against that!

The Governor also will be pushing her pro-abortion bill in the 20220 session! We pray against this!!!

I posted this earlier today:

New Mexico! How much longer will we abort God’s Babies? How much longer will we abuse God’s Children? This is not a warning, but a promise from JESUS: Jesus warned in Matthew 18:6

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

How much longer we will abort God’s babies? How much longer?
So know this: When we assault the gates of hell, the gospel wins (Matthew 16:18). When the light shines in the darkness, the light wins (John 1:5).

I wrote this in July of 2019:

The 2020 New Mexico legislative session will make the 2019 session look like a Church picnic! The Governor has called out the Democrats who voted against the abortion Bill, HB-51, she scolded them, she has a full push on to allow abortions up to full term, no restrictions, a New York type of law. The Governor also wants to legalize pot.

Here is the latest update on Governor Lujan Grisham’s push to legalize pot! KOB TV UPDATE

As I have said legalizing pot is all we need in this state! Just ask Denver! We have enough of a problem with drunk driving in this state! So, we are going to have pot heads driving and killing?

From Dr. Jim Denison:

Our post-Christian, secular culture knows little of choosing God’s way over our way. As a result, those who decide to live for eternity today are “children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life” (Philippians 2:15–16).

Recall C. S. Lewis’s famous observation: “Aim at Heaven and you will get Earth ‘thrown in’: aim at Earth and you will get neither.”

For which will you aim today?

BEHAVE!

Titus 2:7

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Corinthians 11:1

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

What we do need is leaders in this state to stop their drinking and behaving badly and thinking they are above the law! Remember Governor Martinez’s pizza party????? State Senator Richard Martinez is one who appears to think he is above the law after being arrested for drunk driving! We need role models!

Video of Senator Richard Martinez pleading with Police

This makes the push to legalize marijuana by the Governor even more serious, we cannot have pot heads stoned to the hills driving in this state, drunk driving is enough of a big problem in New Mexico! Another thing that bothers me greatly is that Martinez seems not to care about the people injured in the accident! ENOUGH NEW MEXICO! If you want to be a great state…act like one!

We are praying for Senator Martinez and those involved in the accident. Lord we pray for healing for all! In Jesus name, Amen!

This is a post I did a year ago, June 2018……..

I wanted to share this with you today, it is a guest column in the ABQ Journal this morning. I am very concerned where this movement of POT is going,”The Country is going to Pot”. In Colorado “Gas and Grass” stores have opened up in communities.

Read the guest column in the ABQ Journal Here ABQ Journal Report

Opinion: Pot is dangerous, not funny — a doctor tells us why
Fox News

No matter how much fun using marijuana looks like on TV or how many people tell you it’s harmless, remember one thing: unless you have certain medical conditions where the drug may be beneficial, you are better off without it. Read the full story

We all should be concerned where our Country is going……it is headed in the wrong direction….so much division, so much anger, moving away from Biblical principles. Our only true HOPE is in JESUS, not politics. Politics just keeps dividing the nation.

JESUS is our only hope.

Pray for America.

So many need JESUS, so many are looking in all the wrong places to find HOPE, JOY and PEACE.

True HOPE, JOY and PEACE are not found in drugs or politics, yes, if your not careful politics will be like a drug to you, you will lose focus on God.
