FBC in Magdalena has just been added to the schedule!!! PTL!!! God Bless you Pastor Paul and Josie Holt for inviting Shari, you all will be super blessed!!!!!!!!!!

Some days I want to stop this crazy train and just wait at the station for a minute. It gets a little overwhelming and I need to breathe. So much so that my new Apple watch tells me that I do, with a pretty blue flower that pops up and says “breath one minute.” I prefer to breathe 24 hours a day. But I obediently comply to her demands. Of course I’m being silly, but I said all that to say this, as crazy as life gets, the best ride ever started in 1996 when Christ saved my soul and put me on this train that is bound for Heaven. Part of the beauty of it is, I’m never sure of the stops He has planned between here and there!

Over the years of friendship with Pastor Dewey Moede, he and I have shared the journey from a distance of 1628 miles. But because of social media and cell phones, some days it feels like I could walk across the lawn and share a cup of coffee with he and Sharon. He has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. What some people scoff at as wicked (the internet) I’m so grateful for, and believe that it’s a part of God’s plan. When He said that the gospel would go to the ends of the earth, I would guess that they could hardly imagine when those words were written how that would be possible. But we now see it happening right in front of our eyes!

It was because of that connection that God brought me together with Dewey, a man of like spirit, who has a great, great burden for his homeland. And a desire to see souls saved. While he serves out west, I serve in the east. But for a few days the east is gonna meet with the west and I am so excited to be headed to New Mexico in 10 days!!!

Oh… my… stars… that’s hard to believe.

I have a great schedule:

  • Sunday morning, September 29th, 2019 ~ First Baptist Church in Magdalena, New Mexico
  • Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 6 p.m. ~ Reserve Baptist Church in Reserve, New Mexico
  • Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 6 p.m. ~ Glenwood Baptist Church, in Glenwood, New Mexico

I’ll be bringing my own West Virginia style of music and song writing to Worship as well as some traditional gospel music. It’s never my intent to showcase who Shari Johnson is, but rather to showcase what my Lord can do with someone like Shari Johnson. I’ll be sharing my testimony about what brought me to the Lord, and some of the journey that brought me to New Mexico. I fully believe that God has people in mind who need to hear about some familiar ground that I’ve traveled, even if my ground is clay mud in the Hills of West Virginia.

If you’d like to learn a little about me, or hear me sing, you can follow me on Facebook, read my posts at www.FGGAM.org  or go to my website, www.theJesusChick.com where I blog and share my heart. I have fallen in love with a people I haven’t met. We can only do that through Jesus Christ, Who fell in love with us before we were born. Jeremiah 1:5

God Bless! Please pray for my flight and travels.
