Thought Of The Day, “Reflect Christ”, Men’s Daily Devotion

Thought of the day:

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; Reference 1 Peter 2:21-22 NKJV

Jesus set an example for us to follow. It wasn’t something He Demanded. It was something that He Lived with the idea that we would reflect Him in our lives. He showed us that it was not about traditions but that it was an intimate Relationship with The Father. He didn’t do anything without consulting The Father first.

So, if we are called Christian, which means Christ-Like, shouldn’t we be following His Example? Shouldn’t we be devoting time with Our Heavenly Father? Shouldn’t we be waiting on Him before we set out into the world? Shouldn’t we be doing more of denying the flesh and setting an example for others?

We are living in a world where we wonder why more people are sinking into unGodly values. We wonder why crime is on the uprise and courteousness is on the down. We wonder why people call good what God calls evil and vis versa. It boils down to, we failed in setting the example.

However, we have an opportunity to change that. Yes, we won’t stop the end times from coming. Yes, we won’t change everyone’s minds. What we can do is change our walks to Reflect Christ. We never know who we will impact and maybe help see Him in their life. We may even help others repent from being backsliders.

Let’s work more towards being a true reflection of Jesus.

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it. We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already.
If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know. Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
