Thank you Shona for those sweet words, Proverbs 16:24. We are here to serve, serving with the truth and love of Jesus! Amen!
I love this quote: “I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do, I ought to do. What I ought to do, by the grace of God, I will do.” —D. L. Moody
Thank you all for your love and support as we prepare to enter our 8th year! We do not know how to thank those that have supported us from the start and our new donors who have come on board, seeing the mission that God has given us.
My life verse: “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24
Love, Dewey and Sharon
It has been a down year for donations. Please pray about helping us with our mission. Thank you so very much!
Flash back from one of our supporters since we started 7 years ago this coming August! Time sure is flying by! This letter is from December of 2018!
What FGGAM Means to Me
I’d like to share my story. It starts with Pastor Dewey having coffee and a sandwich with some other fellow pastors and associates one autumn day at my church café (which I ran) back in 2009. We had church that day. The Holy Spirit stopped by and joined in on the celebration. We all could feel the Spirit moving and getting ready to do some great things. We were praying and praising and just loving on each other. I remember all the smiles on the faces of everyone in the café that day and the immediate peace in my heart.
Little did I know the Lord was preparing me. It would be one of the hardest journeys imaginable.
Fast forward a couple of months. Mine and my family’s lives would completely change. I received the dreaded middle of the night phone call, which all parents fear. Yes, my oldest son was in a severe car accident. It took 34 surgeries to put him back together. I left my family in Albuquerque to go to his side back East for over 3 months. During that time, Pastor Dewey and the FGGAM family lifted me in prayer and with words of encouragement. To be honest, I can’t remember what was said during conversations, but I can remember the feeling of peace and love which I received and carried with me during this time.
It always amazes me how God will have paths cross and although it may seem for just a moment, He will impress on their hearts a lasting friendship. This is what I have with Pastor Dewey, Sharon and the FGGAM family. FGGAM reminds me of that love and peace that surpasses all understanding. While being a part of FGGAM, I commune with fellow believers and true friends who accept me as I am just as our Heavenly Father does.
My life is not perfect. I have made so many mistakes over the years. I still do make mistakes, but God’s mercy illuminates the good in my heart which overshadows my faults. God is pretty amazing that way. He can make a mess look like its perfect, if we allow it and allow those He puts in our lives to touch us.
Remember, He loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life. FGGAM resonates that love.
