Acting on faith or Fear   By Jeanne Theriault

Matthew 8:2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, Lord if you are willing you can make me clean. Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man, I am willing be clean! Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

Jesus gave the man three action points in one command. He told him to rise take his word and walk. Jesus wanted him to act on his faith.

We as God’s children need to  exercise our faith by taking action. We must do our part first before God does his.

Moses walked out into  the waters before the Red Sea parted . Elijah poured twelve barrels of water on the sacrifice before God sent fire.

The disciples were told to cast out there nets for a catch and the Lord provided the catch of fish.

All these men put their faith into action. When God makes a promise, faith believes it, hope anticipates it, and patience quietly waits for it. You must act on your faith and not your fears. Faith has to arise above your fears and feelings. Faith is not base on your feelings it is base on God’s Word.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

1 Corinthians 16;13 Be on your guard stand firm in the faith, be men of courage be strong 14 Do everything in love.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

God promises that his word will accomplish his will in our lives.

Galatians 5:5 By faith we earnestly await through the spirit the righteousness for which we hope for.

1 John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world even our faith.
