Thank you Connie Keyohara for sharing again with us today! God Bless you and happy early Mother’s Day!

I’m hearing a lot about the “New Progressive” type of Christian teachings. These particular teachings try to sway you away from the teachings of Jesus Christ and point you towards a Universal Way of life… meaning all roads lead to God. This is actually a demonic teaching.

It is a array of beliefs and teachings that fill your plate with whatever assortment fits your appetite/lifestyle. It is then seasoned with self-centeredness and topped with an entitled and self absorbed mindset. It’s really a ‘Have-it-however-you’d like it religion’ and the belief is that there’s something for everyone. Anything goes and there’s no repercussions for any of your decisions.

These teachings diminish God’s holiness, and Satan’s purpose is to trap you into believing this. Satan is the father of ALL lies (John 8:44) his lies never change, but neither does the truth! Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

As Christians we are responsible for knowing the Word of God. We should always be prepared, lest we fall for the lies that are meant to deter us from God. It shouldn’t be too confusing because scripture tells us that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33

The best way to detect a counterfeit is to have a full knowledge of the original. If you don’t know the truth, any satanic teaching can cross your way and you won’t recognize it. We must know how to discern between God’s truth and Satan’s counterfeit.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

This is probably when you should run:

If it doesn’t mention Jesus or prayer.

If it doesn’t point you to scripture for help.

If it tells you what you want to hear, agrees with your indiscretions and pacifies you.

If it celebrates your sin, rather than weep over it, or if it says to avoid church because it’s not necessary to gather together.

My objective here was not to judge anyone’s beliefs, but to point my fellow believers in the right path.

Many Blessings,

Connie Keyohara
