Hello Everyone,
Today March 5th at 1:30 pm Pro-Life Bills, HB 600 & HB 608 will be discussed and voted on, before the House Public Affairs Committee in room 317.
HB 600 also known as The Keisha Atkins Women’s Health and Safety Act named after the young lady who died as a result of a late term abortion will be discussed and voted on. The bill addresses a limit on abortion at 5 months, restores parental notification of a minor’s abortion and provides conscience protections for medical professionals.
HB 608 is an abortion-specific bill that decriminalizes and protects doctors and medical staff who refuse to perform or refer abortions.
These bills were heard last Thursday but discussion and a vote did not take place then. Although it is doubtful that public testimony will be allowed it is important to have a presence, so if it is at all possible please make plans to attend to show public support for these two bills.
Contact the committee members now and tell them to Vote FOR HB 600 and HB 608.
