Why Lord?

Job 1:8 (NKJV): Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

There are times in our lives when we come across someone who seems close to The Lord, but, there seems to be all these bad things that happen to him or her. Job is a great example of this.

Job was declared by God, “Blameless and Upright.” However, He went through all of these loses in his life, which, later included his health. When his  friends came to counsel him, they tried to say that maybe there was some hidden sin in his life. If that were true, then why didn’t God say so when He spoke to Satan about him?

It is sad to think that someone is suffering from some sickness or trial in their life because of sin or even a lack of Faith. We cannot say that this is the cause of why they are going through these things. Even God, when He spoke to Job and his friends, asked, where was men when He created everything, did man have any counsel in what He does?

This should be a reminder to us all that we cannot always know why people go through what they do. Sometimes there is not always an answer to these types of questions. What we should be doing instead, is asking for God’s Strength through these trials and sicknesses.

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
