New Mexico to Sue President Trump Over Emergency Declaration

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and Attorney General Hector Balderas said today that they will take President Trump to court “over his inappropriate and overreaching” declaration of a national emergency ABQ Journal Report

Governor Lujan Grisham has already announced that the New Mexico National Guard will be withdrawn from their duty at the border.

KRQE TV in Albuquerque is reporting: New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s  decision to withdraw National Guard troops from New Mexico’s southern border last week is now getting calls for her impeachment. A Ruidoso man has started a petition asking state lawmakers to begin the process to remove her from office.

President Trump’s allies in the GOP and one of his top advisers on Sunday defended his decision to declare a national emergency to secure funding for his long-desired border wall, a move that triggered a flurry of lawsuits and bipartisan reservations.
