Life

Welcome to The House of Hope Radio Ministry program, The Classroom of God! Thank you for tuning in this morning to this beautiful radio station!
I want to talk to you this morning about how my Christian foundation was built at the American Lutheran Church in Windom, Minnesota. Life……….listen in now………we love you!

I also have added more to this message below.

Our culture is clearly moving further from biblical morality with each passing year.  If we ask why Christianity isn’t impacting our nation more fully, I think the answer above all others is this:  more Christians need a “firsthand” personal everyday relationship with Jesus.
Our Lord was blunt: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23, my emphasis).  Not “follow my teaching” or, “follow my people” or, “follow the church I will establish”.  He called us to follow him personally, sacrificially, daily.
If we do this, others will see Jesus reflected in us.
I started to think on the traits of Christians.
I started to think how my life started in Windom, Minnesota on July 4th 1956.
I was Baptized at the American Lutheran Church in 1956.
I was confirmed at the American Lutheran Church on June 13th, 1971.
The traits of being a Christian were given to me by the Lord, My parents, grandparents, Pastor Kuamme, my Sunday School teachers, Mr. and Mrs.Orville Fredrickson, Irene Hartberg, Pastor Ellefson, Pastor Van Hunnik.
I still have my the book Pastor Kuamme gave me when I was confirmed.
The Traits of a Christian were modeled to me by all these folks in Windom.
My heart sinks when I think of all the children in America that do not have that modeled  for them.
That is why I am a Pastor, to help others see Jesus, not me, but Jesus! We must be reflectors of God!
Many people complain about the state of affairs in our Country, but do nothing about it. The way to do it is to carry out the Great Commission.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

I travel the roads of New Mexico spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
A boy about 10 came into the Reserve, NM gas station the other Sunday and went to get a bottle of apple juice, I told him I would like to buy that for him. You
should had seen his eyes!  BIG AS THE MOON! “Really,” said the boy! I told him I wanted to do that for him. He smiled, and ran out of the store!!!
It brought me back to my days as a child in Windom when the older adults would pay for our bubble gum at the store., those folks taught me basic courtesy and exemplified
the traits of a Christian, love, giving and caring.
