Keep Your Reputation on Holy Ground

“He must also have a good reputation with outsiders” I Timothy 3:7

Leaders with a good reputation: I get asked just like you do everyday, “How are you doing?”  Sometimes to have a little fun and I will reply, “I’m doing good, but it’s up for opinion.”  Everybody has an opinion of us. I have a saying, I wake up everyday saying, “Lord, help me not do anything stupid today”…….”Don’t embarrass God”….A friend says, “I don’t like it when you say that!, because you will never anything stupid!” I love my friend for that! But we are all are susceptible to doing stupid things when we are not in-tuned with God and His ways. In an instant we can ruin our reputation, our testimony for the Lord.  We are to be a shining light for Jesus Christ, to defeat the darkness.

Psalm 143:10 says………

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground”

My prayer is that all of us stay on Holy level ground……We need more men and women with Godly reputations here on earth.

Lord, thank You for the value you place on fostering a good reputation. May I cultivate a reputation that honors You whether I lead one or a thousand!
