How Many Billions Will New Mexico Politicians Spend? Will it Solve Anything?

There is so much ‘nothing noise’ going on in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the Roadhouse. So many unGodly things being talked about, no restrictions on abortions, legalizing pot..etc…JESUS needs to be at the center of all this, Not money! Not greed! Not personal agendas!! Not egos!! EGO stands for edging God out!

All the politicians, Democrats and Republicans are like little kids in a candy store…they have a lot of OUR MONEY and they are going to spend it without addressing the REAL PROBLEMS of the state.

I have lived here since 1995 and whether the Republicans or Democrats are in charge the results are the same……the state suffers so badly from having bad morals. It is because JESUS is not at the front! They fail to address the core issues in the state, year after year. Read the entire post and you will see what I mean.

JESUS must be at the front of everything we do and say.

My post from Jan. 13th……….

The “money party” is about to begin at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe. For our many out-of-state readers, the Roundhouse is New Mexico’s Capital. The Governor and the Legislature are going to spend a lot of our money in this years session, have a seat and buckle down for the wild ride in the “wheel of fortune” ABQ Journal Report

We are about to find out if Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham upholds her promise to make New Mexico better!

My report from Jan. 11th:

The problem with most politicians is they think money is always the answer, using our money for what they want. Jesus is the answer! The treasure chest at the Roundhouse is full of money and Governor and the Legislature will find ways to waste a lot of it. They are going to have a ‘spend our money party’ at our expense, the states piggy bank has been broken into and now watch the kids go shopping, I can just see all the selfies on Facebook of smiling politicians proudly spending our money! Money can help, but it doesn’t solve the core problems, JESUS does! In a state that has more problems than Carter has liver pills , abortion, killing God’s babies, repeat offenders, violent crimes against children and women, domestic abuse, alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide, drunk driving epidemic, soon to have pot heads driving? Money will not solve these problems. New Mexico needs a Revival, seeking the face of our Lord Jesus Christ, repent of our sins, following Jesus in His Words and ways. Nothing much will change in New Mexico until this happens, no matter who is Governor or in the Legislature. Jesus is the answer, not politics.

I guess that answer is to simple for our modern day America that is unraveling.

New Mexico was just rated the worst place to raise a family:

We are in tough shape here in New Mexico, horrendous crimes against children and women. Women Dies After Being Attacked By a Man Pray for New Mexico please, for repentance and Revival. New Mexico Sexual Violence

The push is on again in New Mexico to legalize pot. I beleive that the Dems have a good chance of getting it done here in 2019. Where are the people of God? We must speak out on this, more importantly pray for its defeat. We also need to pray for abortion to end in New Mexico. PRAY CHURCH! PREACH IT, PREACHERS FROM THE PULPIT! We have enough problems with drunk driving deaths, now pot heads driving? The Dems are looking in all ther wrong places for cash, they are choosing pot over life. ABQ JOURNAL Report

Abortion, Pot and Drunk Driving are problems the Church needs to address strongly.

Why is the World full of evil?

“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.

The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.

  • I did a sermon after Christmas on “Who made This Mess.” It addressed the messes we make in life. I shared that most messes created are our own fault. Think about it for a bit. I have found over my lifetime of 62 years that when I got into a mess it was my fault most of the time. If we are not grounded in Jesus Christ and take responsibility for our actions we will look around for someone to blame, make excuses…and so on.

Who made this mess in America? We did! We all own a part of this awful dysfunction. I was taught by my Daddy that we were to leave this world a better place than we found it, well that certainly is not happening.

My answer is always the same, JESUS! Most leaders in our government are acting unBiblical. America needs a true Revival, not just talking about, but seeking the face of Jesus, repent of our sins and get right with the Lord. Until this happens America will continue to struggle, the next two years are going to be awful unless America seeks JESUS!

Listen, I have been preaching this message for years, I have been watching this unraveling of American now for years…..it really started years ago. Its like watching an impending crash.

So many Americans are blind to this, they are so tied up in politics they have taken their eyes off JESUS, all they see is a Republican Gospel or Democrat Gospel. There is more talk in this nation about politics than JESUS, that is the mess we have created.

Now because of the mess we have created, many have no pay check ABQ JOURNAL REPORT

  • Don Wagner They just keep printing Monopoly money out. They have no idea where they’re going to get the real money from or how they’ll pay it back. No one ever addresses the National debt. We have an empty, open checkbook. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15JESUS, not politics.Even before America was founded, Preaches preached on these issues, Preaches fought for this Country on the battle ground and from the pulpit in the Revolutionary War. Preaches must preach against politics and preach for Jesus, the only answer! Preachers must be Bold in Jesus, standing up against politics and stand for Jesus, the only answer, don’t make political figures your God. Don’t just hold a High School pep rally, as the late Chuck Colson said years ago.Timely post by Dr. Jim Denison:

We must not be “outwitted by Satan”

The Lord warned Adam that he must not eat of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” for “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:17).

However, Adam did not die on the day he ate from the forbidden fruit. In fact, he lived for a total of 930 years (Genesis 5:5). For many centuries, he might have wondered if God’s warning would come to pass.

A delay in the consequences of sin can tempt us to sin further. Many of our sins are committed in the belief that no one will know, that we will get away with this. The longer we sin without apparent consequences, the more emboldened we become.

This is because we misunderstand the nature of sin and its results.

The Hebrew word translated “die” in Genesis 2 refers to physical and spiritual death. Such death began for Adam the day of his sin. It led to his separation from God (Genesis 3:22-24) and a life of suffering in a fallen world (vv. 17-19) before culminating in his physical death.

Sin can harm the sinner in ways we don’t see. If I slowly turn down the lights in your room, your eyes will adjust to the darkness. Anything that grieves and stifles the Holy Spirit in our lives (Ephesians 4:301 Thessalonians 5:19) keeps us from the abundant life Jesus intends for us (John 10:10).

In addition, God delays his judgment to give us more time to repent (2 Peter 3:9). However, the enemy wants to use our Father’s grace to entice us to sin further. We must not be “outwitted by Satan” (2 Corinthians 2:11)–sin is a spiritual malignancy that must be removed today.

More than a cartoon in red tights

We’re familiar with the biblical warning that “the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). As a result, we might miss Satan’s subtler strategies.

Our enemy also “disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14) while his servants “disguise themselves as servants of righteousness” (v. 15). The devil can misuse Scripture to tempt us, as he did with Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:6). He can also use the lure of money and possessions to entice us (Acts 5:3).

He adopts the strategy that fits his purposes. In the secular West, he typically works in subtle ways lest we recognize his existence and realize with Paul that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood . . . but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

Satan is glad to be underestimated as a cartoon figure in red tights. Make no mistake: he hates God’s children and wants to harm us in any way he can (cf. Revelation 12:10). When he tempts us with temporary pleasures, it’s because he intends much worse suffering as a consequence.

“The one who endures to the end will be saved”

According to the psalmist, a sinner “says in his heart, ‘God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it’” (Psalm 10:11). He thinks that because he cannot see God, God cannot see him.

The converse can be true for believers.

Jesus warned his disciples, “You will be hated by all for my name’s sake” (Matthew 10:22a). In the midst of persecution, it’s hard to see the blessing of God.

But our Lord then promised us: “The one who endures to the end will be saved” (v. 22b). Just as Satan offers momentary pleasure that leads to long-term pain, our Lord sometimes asks us to endure temporary suffering that leads to eternal reward.

    Gain without pain?

Jesus taught us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). But he also taught us to pray, “Deliver us from the evil one” (v. 13b NIV). We are familiar with praying for our physical needs every day. But our spiritual needs are just as real and critical to our souls.

What sin is Satan tempting you to commit today? Does it seem to offer gain without pain? That’s because the devil is “a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

For years, I have quoted the proverb: Sin will always take you further than you wanted to go, keep you longer than you wanted to stay, and cost you more than you wanted to pay.

If you’re thinking that you’re the exception, let me ask: Who is the source of that lie?

Here’s what to do with every temptation you face today: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Surrender your temptation to your Father and you will be empowered to defeat your enemy.

Where is this promise relevant to your soul right now?
