Facebook is Entering The Local News Business

Pastor Dewey praying at the 2017 New Mexico LegislatureFor the last several years many radio stations have dropped local news, it just drives me nuts. Well now, Facebook is entering the local news business. Why so many owners of radio stations have disregarded local news departments, well, it’s beyond me, its a shame. When I left KKIM Christian Radio we had a strong local news department, but later they eliminated Hall-of-Famer Frank Haley’s position. The American public and radio itself has paid a dear price for the cutting back or just plain eliminating local news.

PS: Local news is just not going on the internet or looking into the local paper and copying their news. ‘In the day,’ we called that ‘rip and read’ Remember KKIM’s ‘New Mexico News and Views?’ 30 minutes of locally produced news, with a team of 2 to 4 Pastors. Many stations do these so called 90 second news reports. Drives me nuts that K-Love does that! Christian stations, of all stations, need to have strong local news from a Christian perspective. Its part of serving God’s people.

Its not only radio, but Christian TV has dropped the ball also. We are paying a high price for an uninformed public. We forced people to go other places for news.

Radio USED to be the number one source for news! But it caved.

I am committed to do the best we can here at FGGAM to present news from a Biblical perspective. I am only one, but I will do my best, with the help of my friends.

Radio Ink is reporting: Vice President of Global News Partnerships Campbell Brown made the announcement in a blog post yesterday that Facebook will be investing $300 million in local news over the next three years Read More Here

The push is on again in New Mexico to legalize pot. I beleive that the Dems have a good chance of getting it done here in 2019. Where are the people of God? We must speak out on this, more importantly pray for its defeat. We also need to pray for abortion to end in New Mexico. PRAY CHURCH! PREACH IT, PREACHERS FROM THE PULPIT! We have enough problems with drunk driving deaths, now pot heads driving? The Dems are looking in all ther wrong places for cash, they are choosing pot over life. ABQ JOURNAL Report

Abortion, Pot and Drunk Driving are problems the Church needs to address strongly.

Why is the World full of evil?

“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.

The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.
