In times when we are down, we can always use scripture as a prayer and as encouragement. It always reminds us Who is Watching over us. It reminds us that Our Heavenly Father Protects us. It is a great way to heal our hearts. It is something we can use to guide our thoughts on to things that are better.

Psalm 23 is one of those scriptures. It directs our thoughts that The Lord is our Shepherd, Protector, Healer, Guides us to Rest, Provides for our needs.

Lord, You are my shepherd. Because You Provide for me, I shall not want. You make me to lie down in green pastures. I will enjoy the rest and beauty of Your Creation, You have provided. You lead me beside the still waters. I will find the peace You stir in my soul as I walk beside them. You restore my soul, You have taken it and changed it for Your Good. You lead me in the paths of righteousness For Your Name’s sake. May my heart and mind change to be in Line with Your Will. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, sorrow, pain, sickness, I will fear no evil, since You are with me. Your rod and Your staff comfort me. I am so thankful You use them to Guide me and to Protect me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. They will see how You Love those who follow You. You anoint my head with oil and my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life. I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. In Jesus Name, Amen. (Taken From Psalm 23:1-6)

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
