Daily Food, Matthew 6:11

Matthew 6:11 (NKJV): Give us this day our daily bread.

Are you searching, studying, reading Scripture daily? Do you remember when Jesus talked to Satan, when He left the desert after His 40 day fast?

Matthew 4:1-4 (NKJV): Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. ”But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’

He of course is referring to that through The Word of God, our souls will be nourished. It is through daily study, we receive Comfort, Wisdom, Direction, and Instruction. We find that all of our needs are taken care of.

When Jesus brought this into the model prayer, He was reminding us that we should be using God’s Word everyday, for answers to questions we have. To Help us to Grow. He was encouraging us to use The Word as a basis for prayer.

Are you using The Word of God as a means to pray and to seek answers? Have you set up a course of Study on a daily basis to learn more from Him? Are you studying with others to glean from them?

This is the best way for us to grow. Make time today to get in The Word.

We will continue  be looking at the Sermon on The Mount. Although,  we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, The Sermon on The Mount deals with Heart Issues which is what we should look at when learning to have that Relationship with God.
If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
