We tend to worry about what will happen tomorrow.
A lot of times, we forget that our life here is short compared to Eternity. Our Lord has reminded us that we are to do the Work of The kingdom and Build up Treasures in Heaven, which is sharing The Gospel with others and teaching things of Following Him. Let’s not focus on building up wealth here that is worthless but on building up others to seek Him.
Lord, we forget who You are at times and say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit” However, you have reminded us that we do not know what will happen tomorrow. Our lives are even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Our Focus should be on You and we should say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” We will stop boasting in our arrogance, because all such boasting is evil. We that knows to do good and does not do it, to us it is sin. This is a reminder to us Lord that we are to be about Your Business. We are to seek You and Your Ways. We should ask if You would want us to move in a certain direction or to wait on You. We don’t want to be vain in the things we do for You. Please, give us direction in all of our ways. If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
