We are to Abide, Not Live, By The Law, Part 5, Romans 3:19-20

Romans 3:19-20 (NKJV): Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. ²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

We are taking a side trip from The Sermon On The Mount. This is part of our discussion in regards to what The Intent of The Law was meant for.

Here we see Paul talking to the Roman Church that the law is meant to bring knowledge of sin. Why would God use The Commandment s to bring knowledge of sin? Because without any sort of morals set, we would not know what morals are. Morals are what keeps order in our lives.

There is a great discussion about where morals come from. Some say society creates them. However, we need to remember, without a Moral Giver, even that society would not have any morals.

The Commandments are meant to point us to our Loving God. They are meant to show us that we need Him to Work in our lives to bring change. Without them, we would not know where we fall short. We would not understand why it seems He is far away from us when in reality, it is us who is far away from Him.
