Speak Strength, By Karen Rowe

Hello from NC again!

I hope you are doing well; which by faith I believe you are!  And if not well at this time, I hope this encourages you in the love of God to be increased in your strength with the grace to get through all things well.

The Verse of Today’s Devotion inspired me to jump on here and post today.  I hear Dewey often refer to this verse & oh, how valuable the words in the verse are!

“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones (Proverbs 16:24 KJV).”

What kind of storm could you be facing today?  In the Bible we read about the wind and the waves that was tossing the disciples boat around; but what I believe God wants us to see is what was being tossed around in the hearts and minds of the people on the boat?

They had dropped everything to follow Jesus, but it took them a while to really comprehend Jesus was God in the flesh, who was with them!  Jesus spoke to the wind and the waves and they obeyed Him!  Who is this?  They wondered!

Friends, my I encourage you today that we can speak to our storms that come to our life.  Sometimes, we even have to pray for strength to accept God’s will, because God works all things together for the good to them that love God.  So sometimes, we have to go through some things …yet, God’s will is to comfort us and deliver us.  So we all need a little word of encouragement sometimes.  :)

Friend, In Christ, if no one is speaking life into you; Speak like into your self!!!  Speak words of Praise, because you know and believe in the love God has for you … and abide in that love, because God is love.  Abide in God & God abides in you!  This is powerful!

Jesus teaches us, Do not LET … meaning we have a choice; not to LET our hearts be troubled.  But how?

Dear friends in Christ, I believe the Holy Spirit just gave me the answer a few minutes ago, which inspired me to write these words of encouragement to you.

We worship God!!!  By the words we speak; and the words we believe!

And we can honor God be talking honestly with Him; seeking His good Council of how to proceed!  We ask … And we learn from the Word of God; everyone who asks … receives.  Wisdom is the principle thing and worship is how we release the struggles to God; and God releases the power in comfort to us who ask, seek and knock at Heaven’s Door with Praise and Thanks Giving.

Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving and His Courts with Praise!  Did I get that right?  May I encourage you to look it up in the Bible and know the Word of God so well, that you know how to apply God’s Word to every situation.  Store it up in your heart, so that you always are prepared with a good Word from God to share.

Who do you say Jesus is?  We can say as Peter said, “Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”  Now, we can also worship God, our Father, who art in Heaven; The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit operate as One; by honoring God & thanking Jesus with our words.  Yes, Holy Spirit you are welcome here!

Have you ever felt like, I don’t feel like it today?  What happens if you smile & say hello anyway?  I mean something amazing happens when we choose to worship God by making our self make eye contact and speak a kind hello to someone…even when we don’t feel like it. Something amazing happens; & we get energy from God!

What is holding us down?  What builds us up?  How can you honor Jesus and Worship God with your words today?

As we roll on into the devotion today, I would like to plant a thought to consider in your heart.  How many times do we just pass by people in a hurry and never see who is around us?  How much is on purpose?  What is really going on?  And, how can we make a change in this world by the smiles and kind words we can bring?

I don’t believe you avoid people, but we all can see how busy the world is.  The main point I feel strong on my heart to say to you is, you are incredibly valuable to God and have a lot of goodness in you to share.  What the world needs is Jesus & the world can see God’s compassion through a kind word you have to share Today.

I hope this is a blessing to you too today.

… Love, Karen

Hope in Today

Matthew 7:7-14 King James Version (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Daily Devotion to God’s Holy Word

Speak Strength!

Energy produces energy! This is true! The more I exercise, the better I feel & the better I feel the more energy I have to exercise.

The reverse is true too. We can get into a rut, but how do we escape? We do something!

Words speak energy to our minds! We either believe we can finish a race; or we don’t. Which ever way we make up our mind, will determine our steps.

Now God’s mind is unlimited in power to us! The Holy Spirit speaks good & guiding words to us.

How we use our words determine how we encourage our neighbors! And think about who this might be to you? If your neighbor is doing just fine, your encouragement will help…yet, if he is already working & walking along with his smile in Christ set upon his face, his smile gave you energy didn’t it? Someone needs you

How valuable our words are to each other! They give strength to us for traveling on down the road of life.

My son said, “It looks good mommy.” His words gave me strength to keep believing in what I was doing. If we quit believing; we would eventually talk ourself out of what we are doing.

How do people talk to you? Are you surrounded by people who put courage in you? Or take courage out of you? One of you needs the other…

So now what? Where does your help come from? Our help comes from the Lord! Speak 1st to yourself! Build yourself UP in your most Holy Faith & Pray in the Spirit of God! Read God’s word as food for your soul! And pray to speak life into someone’s life today.

When we allow God to be the Salvation of our souls, we are equipped to share the Peace & Joy Jesus brings.

We can’t share what we don’t have; so be sure to fill up on God’s Word each day. We can’t depend on people to be that energy for us. Our hope is in Jesus and our gift of Grace is from God.

Yet, we can depend on Jesus & speak a kind word, share a confident smile, or offer a hand up of hope to someone God has set in our path each day!

This is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice & be glad in it!

Let the strength living in you overflow courage with WISE & kind words…

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me! I need Jesus –and my life is about my relationship with God. And, every blessing begins with Him! Love in Christ, Karen Rowe, Director Hope in Today Ministries, Inc.
