Good day to you Dear Friends in Christ and Readers of FGGAM,
After I posted Hope in Today Ministries Daily Devotion, I received a call from the Senior Teaching Pastor over Hope in Today Ministries, Inc. Pastor Alston’s Level of Maturity, always lifts my eyes up to a higher level to grow toward! Here’s what He said to me. We need to teach HOW do we rest our mind in His!
I start this by example, because we each have been given a portion from God to share with each other. Why? So that we can teach each other in the power of the Lord! This is Hope in Today Ministries, Inc., Portion. And, to God be the Glory!
We can call out certain problems we all face. In a difficult decision, our mind will begin to think: Did God tell me this? It is God? Is it me? Or, is it something else? This is the Battle of our mind.
The Bible instructs our mind in any Mind-Boggling thing!
Perhaps you are struggling with your Salvation? Or, the way your prayer has been answered? Or, perhaps you are struggling in the unknown of your prayer being answered at all?
Friends, the Lord wants us to encourage each other in the Word of God, because it is The Living Word; with the power to change our earthly / physical minds to grow and develop in the Spiritual Mind of Christ. Yet, we need a leader to help us on our journey. God has not left us alone or forgotten.
Perhaps in your situation, you may find it hard to believe that God loves you at all? So to merely say, God loves you is not enough for you. Let’s talk about the power of God; and learn how to know and believe that God has not forgotten about you.
God still loves the world! God has not forgotten about the world! God loves you! Friends, it is the storms in life that God uses / not to harm you, but to love you well… Let’s break this down. Will you help me? Name the storm in your life ________________. Now, let’s base our mind and thoughts on the Scriptures of God.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God loves you enough that He gave His only begotten Son …
—— Ponder on this for a while ——-
Will you talk with us, so that we can help you see how God allows the storms to come to us to get us out of a place in our mind … Ponder on that … There is a place in our mind that is hard to control for us; and God allows a storm to come to get us out of a certain mindset to grow in to God’s Mind, His thoughts, His way, His life, His Peace …Because God loves you so much.
We can say it another way. God is All-Knowing;and God loves us too much to let us stay the way we are.
Boy, this gets me every time! God loves us too much to leave us to our own mind; He is leading us to have the Mind of Christ!
In making Decisions: Our mind can wonder, where did that thought come from? The battle starts in our mind & it starts with prayer. When the Battle begins, how do we find that rest in God’s Mind? The Answer … What happens when we talk about the power of God & base our thoughts on the Scriptures of God?
Today, in Hope in Today Ministries, we are here to help lead you in the Scripture God has given us to talk together about the Power of God! … and develop in trusting in His love for you that together we grow so sure in our faith that we can’t deviate from God’s plan for us to 1st, come to know and believe in the love God has for us; and then to grow in this love of God for us … to walk in the love of God; then you will know how deep and wide is the love of God for you!
A Prayer for us …
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a]in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Encouragement to be Faithful !
After yesterday / This morning I heard the encouraging Wisdom from the Spirit of my Lord Jesus say, it is so good to learn to surrender it all…
Yesterday, I learned there are some battles that are not ours to fight…like being right!
Whew! Ponder on that one in the midst of your difficulty.
At just the right time, I saw a Scripture posted which gave me that gentle reminder & encouragement to let it go to Jesus…this was not a battle I was to fight:
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
The battle we face is really our mind! And the battle that is not ours to fight is the mind of another person. The battle of the mind belongs to the Spirit of the Living God…& we get to choose to rest our mind in God’s Mind through Christ!
Friends, I may never be the same!
We can choose NOT to let our stubborn mind push our emotions to the edge of anger! We can choose to surrender it all to Jesus!
Yes! I am entirely serious! We can choose to surrender it all to Jesus! But, boy oh boy, our mind is a tuff one to control!
This is where Putting Scripture in our mind helps!!!
To be reminded & whispered to by Spirit of the living God … calm, be still…the WISDOM from God is first of all Pure, which means it doesn’t leave you double-minded about wanting God’s help to change your mind!
This is the Transformation we all must go through because even in the end, we must surrender our life to go to be with God forever!
We must learn the strength of humility; strength under self control by the Lord’s hand over our life! What a blessing to be loved by God like this!
What is the matter with a situation is not as important as what matters in the heart of God: PEACE!
Life is about growing & adding! Adding to our faith the things of God as the Spirit of the Lord knows we are ready to learn! The Holy Spirit helps us grow in levels of Self-Control, which is a Fruit of the Spirit & evidence of God.
