Last night I was having a text conversation with Sheri Riddle of Catron County New Mexico. We were talking about the wildfires in the Reserve area. The Buzzard fire is almost 50,000 acres and I cannot find an update on the Ranch Fire. It has been a very hard on the Fire Departments in the area. Please pray for the men and women that serve. There have been several fires across the county.

The drought is very severe. parched land, dryer than a bone. Please keep praying for rain. Catron County does not get much coverage from the media and attention from state officials because not have the population base.

The latest update I can find is 19 hours old on the Buzzard Fire, 85% contained, 49,909 acres burned. If you have an update on the Ranch Fire let me know. Last one I had was 400 acres had burned.

The weather is going to remain near or at 100 degrees and no rain in the forecast.

Extreme fire danger.
