Psalm 119:129-135(NKJV): Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them. 130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. 131 I opened my mouth and panted, For I longed for Your commandments. 132 Look upon me and be merciful to me,
As Your custom is toward those who love Your name. 133 Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me. 134 Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I may keep Your precepts. 135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes. 136 Rivers of water run down from my eyes, Because men do not keep Your law.
One of the things the Psamlist, in this Psalm, reminds us of is that when we continuously are in The Word of God, we will find comfort in times of need. We will be reminded of how much He Loves us. It will be a great reminder about how our anxieties are useless. It is a great reminder of how He is always with us.
His Word is a Love Letter, written to us for Instruction, Inspiration, Encouragement, and Information of how to obey Him. His Word tells us of who He is. His Word tells us of what He has done for us. His Word is full of His Promises, Promises, that we should know. His Word tells of things to come.
This part of the Psalm is yet another way of telling us why we should study and read The Bible daily. It’ll transform us.
Our charge today from this, get into The Word daily.
We will continue to be looking at Psalm 119 in sections. Although, we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, this Psalm lays a foundation of how we should be walking in our Faith walks.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
