Good evening to you on this lovely Saturday afternoon!
This morning, like just about every morning, I hear the low blow of The Train Whistle as I finish up the Devotion; and as God guides my heart to share. You may have heard me say, that every time I hear that old Train Whistle blow, it is a call to my heart to remember a simpler of times, where love was just love; and I hear can hear God whisper His love & assurance to my soul.
I didn’t have time to post here @ FGGAM this morning, as we had to run out the door. However, as I was in the yard just now… I saw this Peony that I had written about in this Devotion this morning, (featuring a progress picture that I had taken earlier in the week)…that it has bloomed today! So what perfect timing to share this devotion with you! And, like we always say, All Glory to God; and Thank You Jesus!
I sure hope this Devotion is a blessing to you as well; and a reminder to you to always remember who you are to God. He loves you, you know… And, I believe this is why God uses each of us in simple ways! That we can come along side of each other in difficult times, and just be there as a reminder of God’s Comfort & Mercy; and everlasting Love for us.
Life is connected to life; and we are made to be alive! This is your Season to know Jesus; and to grow and continue to grow in your personal relationship with Him.

This is the exact Peony Bush written about in The Train Whisle. It inspired me to write a comparison of how we go though trials & struggles, but only for a little while, with a purpose to bloom!
WHAT IF a Peony GAVE-up cuz, the ground is much too hard & it’s too cold outside to break thru the ground? The comparison is still that as a Peony is meant to grow toward the sun to bloom, so are we!
WHAT IF a Peony could THINK & FEEL like we can get discouraged?
Do you ever FEEL LIKE you are stuck in dormant place? Grow toward the SON & remember that it takes believing & hope to burst thru the ground to get there…But KEEP your eyes, ears, mind, will & emotions ON God’s eyes & LISTEN with His ears & THINK with His Mind to also EXPERIENCE His emotions!
This story in The Train Whistle was written well over ten years ago by now & I am always happy to see this Peony arrive year after year!
Today, I learned something new about Peonies.
IF a peony is well situated and happy, it may bloom for 100 years or more …
God wants us to be well situated in His Presence too! God wants us to be happy and produce good fruit. Not human fruit, but spirital fruit! Like we are not “Human-Doings;” We are “Human-Beings.”
To BE in the Presence of God is TO grow toward God’s SON daily! Yes, there are painful seasons we must face, but my friend in Christ, we are made to BE FOREVERMORE!
The Creator God shows His glory thru His Creation! How much more valuable are we to God? And God said, it is good!
Peony flowers are perennials that come back every spring to take your breath away. The plants may live longer than you do—some have been known to thrive for 100 years.
And be encouraged as a human being … IN CHRIST, we live FOREVER with God & Today Jesus has promised in season to take us.
Like a Peony, we can BE …& If we get this we will never be the same!
God SO LOVES you & He didn’t leave you here to perish! This world is our training & serving ground, because God is not willing that any should perish.
Tell someone today just how much God loves them, by 1st believing for yourself & smile for another to see the SON …
