Pray Hawaii!

It is often hard to imagine that a place the rest of America considers as a paradise is struggling from devastating and fearful natural disasters.  Hawaii is under siege by multiple earthquakes; the last reported a little while ago registered 6.9, the largest since 1975, and the Kilauea Volcano, which is spewing molten lava and deadly gases making air quality very alarming.  Fire threats continue, and first responders struggle amid the entire calamity.   Here is a statement made to me by my long-time friend, Denise.

“There are continuing earthquakes increasing in size that are causing more outbreaks and houses are now burning. Another huge problem is the gases. Please pray for all evacuated and those first responders breathing in all those gases. I was subbing today in Hilo and we had four earthquakes over 5.0.  Kids are scared to death.”  – Denise Drake

Christian, we must pray about this on-going problem is a normally beautiful place.

Creator God, Almighty, Merciful heavenly Father, our hearts are grieving for the traumas facing the Hawaiian people in these days.  I beg to the Father of mercy to lessen these threats to the well-being of the precious citizens in that great state.  Father, cause the deadly gases to dissipate into the vastness of the sea.  Calm the terror in the hearts of the people, and especially the children.  Show Your majesty and glory as You remove the massive threats.  Protect life and possessions.  Help them, and draw many to Yourself, for Jesus’ sake and in His name, Amen!
