Don’t Give Up Hope, Psalm 119:121-128

Psalm 119:121-128 (NKJV): I have done justice and righteousness; Do not leave me to my oppressors. 122 Be surety for Your servant for good; Do not let the proud oppress me. 123 My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation And Your righteous word. 124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy, And teach me Your statutes. 125 I am Your servant; Give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies. 126 It is time for You to act, O Lord,
For they have regarded Your law as void. 127 Therefore I love Your commandments More than gold, yes, than fine gold! 128 Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.

Here we see yet again that the Psalmist is saying, “Don’t Give Up.” Why would he be repeating this? Because we often forget that when God is wanting us to grow, He will have us wait. He wants us to know that He is the one who is providing.

We need to remember that His timing is not ours. We even learn that 1000 years to us is like 1 day to The Lord, 2 Peter 3:8. He sees all things from beginning to end at once, where, we only see it moment by moment. It’s awesome that He knows what will happen and knows when it is best to step in.

We should remember that He does not bow down to our every request. That would make Him like a parent who spoils their child. Instead, He desires that we allow our minds and hearts to become more in line with Him. Let’s turn our focus to Him.

We will continue to be looking at Psalm 119 in sections. Although,  we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, this Psalm lays a foundation of how we should be walking in our Faith walks.

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
