UNM Plans to Cut Sports Programs

I am thankful for the action of UNM yesterday. It is way beyond time to take back control of the University’s sports programs. It has operated like its own country, its own rules, wasting tax payers money.

The ABQ Journal reports: The University of New Mexico administration is proposing the elimination of some sports programs and other cost reductions to balance future athletics department budgets and to pay down $4.7 million of the department’s 10-year deficit. I applaud this plan, I pray that it moves forward.

It is time. Respect us tax payers. UNM has taken advantage of us common folk in many ways..read below.

ABQ Journal Report

Here is my post from April 9th of 2018……….

I am very sadden on how the top University in our state operates. In all my years I have never seen a University struggle so much with ethics.

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men

We are one of the poorest states in America, but yet we spend millions at UNM on Sports. It is a program that lacks ethics. Not only in the management of tax payers money, but other infractions that have occured over the years. New Mexico really needs to look itself in the mirror and ask “Why do we let this mess continue?”

According to the ABQ Journal the UNM Football Coach gets paid $822,000 a year!!! The UNM Football Offensive Coordinator gets paid $225,000 a year! Really??!! All this for what?

Get this……The median annual Police Patrol Officer salary in Albuquerque, NM is $49,503, as of March 29, 2018, with a range usually between $46,225$53,947 not including bonus and benefit information and other factors that impact base pay.

Our heroes at APD put their lives on the line for us everyday. Our Public School teachers are way under paid…..Our State Police Officers, Our Firefighters all are under paid.

Priorities for the use tax payers money is out of wack.

Do we really need to spend so much on sports? Our education system is in tough shape here in New Mexico, but our top University has been putting forth such a bad example on ethics. To me, UNM has failed. I have read the reports of unethical junk that occurred in the running of the sports programs under the AD who left quickly when the covers were removed from the monkey business.

What a way to set an example for our children.

Then the Football program and the mess it is in involving threats to a woman?

Why do we let this dysfunction continue?

This is not right!

There is a new Sheriff in town, we will find out what the new UNM President Garnett Stokes will do on Tuesday.

ABQ Journal Report

It is time to end the dysfunction at UNM.

I pray the University sets a good Godly example for our Children.

UNM still has not come clean on the Baby parts issue and abortions.

From Jan 5th 2018……….

From LifeNews.com

A researcher at the University of New Mexico was suspended for selling the body parts of aborted babies to a company in Michigan.

Yesterday evening, the Albuquerque Journal released a story after receiving an internal memo from the University of New Mexico (UNM) stating that UNM researcher Dr. Robin Ohls was suspended and barred from her lab. It was discovered Ohls sent baby body parts acquired from Southwestern Women’s Options (SWO) and transferred them to a Michigan company.
