Any Man’s Death Diminishes Me, Because I am Involved in Mankind

The last month or so I have been sadden by the passing of Dear Friends like Pat Fisher and Kim Nielsen and my hero Billy Graham. Yesterday I was helping a lovely lady here in Albuquerque plan for the funeral of her mother, she was very distraught. My Dear Friend Stuart Smart, who I grew up with in Windom, sent this to me as we talked yesterday about the passing of our friend Kim of Windom, Minn.

This quote has touched me to my soul………I weep, i mourn and I pray and give thanks to God all at the same time.

Hey Dewey, in regards to people passing…here is a quote from John Donne “No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were: any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.” I’ve pondered this many times in the past. It inspires me to just love God and help bring as many people as possible into the Kingdom.

Keep up your good work Dewey!

Thank you for sending this to me Stuart, it means more than you know……this is why I Preach Jesus! Amen!
