Satan also uses things like trees in inappropriate rituals, etc. They are not his trees; they are God’s design and creation, again for my enjoyment. I have never worshiped a tree, ever. But I love them because my Father in heaven created them for my pleasure and my use. I will soon have one in my home which will be decorated and lit, also for my enjoyment. I will not worship this tree, as it will be a part of my celebrating the incarnation of Christ my LORD. No, Jesus was not born on December 25th, but He was born. The Scriptures spend a fair amount of time telling the story of His birth, including the prophecies concerning His coming. The devil does his best to keep believers from honoring that birth, even using other believers to dissuade us from doing so (He is a divider, you know). The last time I checked, God created the day; all of the days, including December 25th. The days are His! The devil inappropriately has incorporated it for his purposes. In my life I’m taking it back for the LORD!
I was told for a long time that Face Book was the devil’s tool. I avoided it for a long time. Then one day the LORD seemed to say, “Take it back! Use it for My purposes.” So, I do. Every day, I claim Face Book for God! I am tired of being duped by the enemy of my God! So I say, “MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
