Prayer of Incense By Jeanne Theriault

Psalm 141:2 May my prayer be set before you like incense, the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

I love it whenever I lit a scented candle in my house ,it fills the  whole house  with a sweet  sense of an aroma. I believe   our prayers are like a sweet incense pleasing to God. Our prayers should always be offered with a sense of reverence and awe before him , with a pure heart that longs to see him and know him to glorify Christ in seeking the will of the Father. This brings a fragrant incense to the throne of God.

It is important to set a time for prayer spending time with the Father.

God has made it possible for all to know him, with God you can find peace. David sang, Let my prayers be set before you as incense. Your prayers is like a sweet aroma rising to the throne of God. He see’s every heart, every hurt, every tear.

God hears our prayers. He listens and will respond to us. Without communicating with him, how can we expect to receive.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you , whatever you ask for in prayer , believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

Our prayers builds a personal relationship with God. He knows each of us by name and knows are every needs and loves us. He hears our prayers and he answers them with wisdom love and compassion.

Psalm4:3 Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself, the Lord will hear when I call to him.

Psalm 91:15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him, I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.

Lord, let our prayers rise up to you like a sweet smelling aroma pleasing to your heart, as we give you reverence and awe for your goodness and mercy and your love. Giving you praise and honor for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen
