Not Just Because I’m A Pastor

  1. I don’t proclaim Jesus just because I’m a pastor.

I don’t encourage others to read their Bible just because I’m a pastor.

I don’t encourage others to seek Jesus just because I’m a pastor.

I don’t pray for others just because I’m a pastor.

I don’t do things that I do because I’m a pastor.

I don’t profess to to be a Christian just because I’m a pastor.

Instead:

I’m a Christian because I believe in my heart That Jesus is our savior. (Romans 10:9)

I get to be a pastor because of the redemptive work Jesus has done in my heart, and a call that he’s placed in my life. (1 Corinthians 12)

I get to pray for others because others prayed for me and as The Body of Christ is instructed, as believers, we are to pray for others. (Ephesians 6:18; James 5:14-16)

I get to encourage others because we are instructed to encourage each other, as a follower of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

I encourage others to read their Bibles because studying The Word shows us who Jesus is. (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:9-16; 2 Timothy 2:15)

I proclaim Jesus because he is the only one in true savior. (John 1-3)
