The Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine Continues it’s Exponential Growth with 500 Host Churches for 2018

The Tim Tebow Foundation announced today that they have reached 500 host churches for Night to Shine 2018, a growth of 1,150% since its inaugural year in 2015. Now entering its fourth year, the unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018, simultaneously through 500 churches, and counting, around the world.

With exponential growth each year, Night to Shine 2018 is no exception. “We want Night to Shine in every town, in every church, in every state and every country… And we won’t stop until we get there or until we hear God say otherwise,” shared Tim Tebow, Founder & Chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation.

The Night to Shine experience is truly a night to remember.  One of the 2017 honored guests from Celebrate Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD stated, “This is just like a dream; I wish every day could be just like this day!”

As in the past, every guest of Night to Shine will enter this complimentary VIP event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, the guests will receive the royal treatment including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, dinner, karaoke, prom favors for each guest, and, of course, a dance floor.  Parents and caretakers of our honored guests have a respite room available to them where they can enjoy snacks and wait for that moment that no one wants to miss… when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom.

“It’s been amazing to see thousands of people with special needs celebrated and valued in communities around the world at Night to Shine,” said Tim Tebow.  “We have seen so many incredible storylines over the past three years come from this worldwide movement, that honestly we never really never anticipated. One narrative that has been driving this movement forward that is special to me and TTF is that every life is of value and everyone deserves to be celebrated and loved. We cannot wait to see what God continues to do with Night to Shine in 2018.”

To add to the excitement of the night, Tim Tebow makes surprise appearances at as many proms as possible. This past year, Tebow visited host locations in 3 different states as well as a special international visit in Haiti for the official Night to Shine kick-off.

“This is so much more than a prom, it is a time to celebrate people, to celebrate life and to tell each King and Queen that they have great purpose and value. I am blown away by the magnitude of Night to Shine and the way that God has truly blessed this worldwide movement,” said Tebow.

As part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s sponsorship of this worldwide movement, the foundation provides each host church with the official Night to Shine planning manual, an official Night to Shine prom kit complete with gifts for the honored guests and branded decor, personalized guidance and mentorship from a Tim Tebow Foundation staff member throughout the planning process and more. Host churches can also apply for financial grants from the Tim Tebow Foundation, and last year alone, the foundation contributed more than $3.5 million towards the worldwide movement of Night to Shine. In 2017, the Tim Tebow Foundation inked a deal with their first Global Partner of Night to Shine, American Residential Services (ARS/Rescue Rooter) who is continuing their worldwide sponsorship of Night to Shine in 2018 and is proudly standing with TTF to impact thousands of lives.

The Tim Tebow Foundation launched Night to Shine in 2014 with a simple vision…On one night, the Friday before Valentine’s Day 2015, work with churches around the country to provide an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs.  This past February, 375 churches representing 28 denominations and 150,000 volunteers, came together to host 75,000 honored guests in all 50 states, 11 countries, and 6 continents.  Twenty-two groups of collaborating churches also came together across denominational lines to help us celebrate the kings and queens as one.
