Do Not Fear By Jeanne Theriault

God never promised that our lives would be easy.

John 16:33 In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world.

You can have peace in the mist of your troubles

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

If you are going through some difficulties like an illness, financially or whatever the case maybe, if you continue to seek God in your darkest hour, he will prove himself faithful and intervene in your life. The word says that God is with you.

Isaiah 43:1-5 Fear not for I have redeemed you, I  have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through  the waters I will be with you, And through the rivers they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire you shall not be burned nor shall the flame scorch you. Fear not, for I am with you.

But take heart the bible doesn’t say you  have to remain in your struggles. The Lord  promises that you are precious to him and he will be with you every step . David said in Psalm 23:4 I will fear no evil for you are with me.

Psalm 118:6 The Lord is with me, I will not be afraid, what can mere mortals do to me.

David knew that he could count on God. He knew that God would provide and protect him. That same promise is also for you. As you pray and get to know the Lord in an intimate way, God will  speak to your heart

John 10:10 I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

You must fix your eyes on Jesus, he is the author and finisher of your faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Look to God and remember His faithfulness even when it is hard to see with your natural eyes. In the mist of all things he will give you a peace that passes all understanding.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.

Stand firm in his protection and you will be able to say as David did,

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid.

Devote your life in prayer, spend time with him. Read his word, know who he is and what he can do for you. This will help you gain a firm spiritual foundation, having nothing to fear.

1Corinthians 3:11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid which is Jesus Christ

Psalm 62:1 My soul finds rest in God alone my salvation comes from him 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation he is my fortress I will never be shaken.

Thank you Lord for your word your peace and promises. I   shall not be afraid for you are my redeemer, my deliverer, my helper, and my healer. I will fix my eyes on you for you are faithful. Forever I  will stand firm on your promises for you are the strength of my life. So therefore my soul rests in you alone. Amen
