Bill Wilson: End Time Shaking on Earth and in The Heavens

Daily reporting and analysis of current events from a biblical and prophetic perspective
End time shaking on earth and in the heavens

An earthquake of 8.1 magnitude hit the southern coast of Mexico Thursday killing at least six people. The quake, causing a small tsunami and damage in Mexico City, was felt as far north as Austin, Texas. The Caribbean suffered 10 deaths as hurricane Irma swept through the area, making the island of Barbuda “virtually uninhabitable,” according to the prime minister there. Irma is thought to be one of the most powerful storms in history–this, on the heels of hurricane Harvey that left Houston in shambles. In addition, there are cosmic disturbances. The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a geomagnetic storm warning through today. Are these events related to, or signs of, the end times?
The increase in such destructive disasters and cosmic activity, such as the recent solar flares and solar eclipse, has many wondering if these are not signs of the approaching end times. In what is called the Olivet Discourse, Jesus, in the most complete and understandable chronology of end time prophecy, responds to his disciples’ questions specifically about the sign of his coming, and the end of the world. Jesus answers first in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” In verses 7-8 he says, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
There are many prophetic verses in the Bible that speak directly to the activity in the sky. 2 Peter 3:10 says, “But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise…” Jesus says in Matthew 25:29, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.” Speaking of the sixth seal, followed by an earthquake, the sun becoming black and the moon as blood, Revelation 6:14 says, “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”

Ezekiel 38:19 tells of a great earthquake in Israel that levels the mountains. Verse 22 speaks of how the Lord will handle Gog (thought by many to be the antichrist), “And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood, and I will rain upon him…great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.” Point here is context in that these chapters and verses are all prophecies of the Day of the Lord. The cosmic and earthly disasters we are experiencing today may be a type and shadow of the end times, but they are not the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord is Israel-centric (not America-centric) and it is when these earthly and cosmic events are activated in their fullness immediately prior to Christ’s return. According to Jesus in Matthew 24, there are yet many prophetic events to occur before the end.

Our Feeding and Clothing Ministry Outreach in Ghana

By Pastor William Agbeti

[NOTE: This is an account of just one of many feeding and clothing programs conducted by The Daily Jot and our ministry partner Redeem West Africa in the rural areas of Ghana, West Africa. These are often areas under heavy Islamic pressure. We are also providing clean water in rural areas with our well projects. It’s your kind donations that make this possible–Blessings, Bill W]

KROBO-ODUMASE, Eastern Region, Ghana:

As early as 8am Sunday morning, February 5, they started pouring in. Two hundred and sixteen children, forty eight parents and a handful of the disabled, coming from various poor homes and communities, eagerly looking forward to a good, free meal.
The atmosphere was electrifying and heartrending – an entire community of children and parents showing up for a free meal.
Meals were served to the satisfaction of all. All had soda to drink and water to quench their thirsts.
Everyone participated in some sort of games and danced to popular local music. Joy, laughter, merry making and the spirit of love hung heavily in the air. This was heaven to many.
Then what we always dread at our feeding functions happened. It was time to say goodbye and depart. A surprise announcement was made, that all the children and their parents, including the disabled, would be given free food to take home!
They were asked to line up for the extra food. Suddenly there was a joyous stampede! Both children and adults started rushing to gain the best place in the queue to receive their free meals.
Tears rolled down the cheeks of volunteers, as they served in total silence.

The Daily Jot is totally reader supported. My wife, Chris, and I do not take a salary or receive any remuneration for this work. Your gifts go directly to assisting us in maintaining this column, the website, outreach, and the Lord’s work we do in Ghana, West Africa. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day,

Strongest earthquake in a century rocks Mexico
Dr. Jim Denison | September 8, 2017
A magnitude-8.1 earthquake struck Mexico last night, leaving one million people without power. Mexico’s president called it the strongest quake his country has seen in a century. And Hurricane Katia is threatening to strike his country tomorrow.Meanwhile, Hurricane Irma is coming. The second-strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean, Irma is responsible for at least thirteen deaths so far. This morning, the National Weather Service warned that the eye of the storm could strike Miami directly. The governors of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina have all declared states of emergency.

And there’s more bad news: Hurricane Jose is strengthening and threatens islands devastated by Irma.

What can we do to help?

A week ago, I asked you to join Denison Forum in raising funds for Hurricane Harvey victims. Our ministry contributed a $25,000 matching grant to this effort. All donations would be given through Texas Baptist Men (TBM) to help those devastated by the tragedy.

When we closed the contribution link yesterday, $322,347.70 had been donated. Our ministry paid the credit card fees so that every penny you contributed would go directly to those in need. We presented your donations to TBM’s executive director yesterday.

So far, TBM personnel have dedicated 47,656 hours to relief efforts on the Gulf Coast. They have handed out 259,246 meals, distributed 1,243 Bibles and gospel tracts, and shared the gospel personally 399 times. They are currently active at twenty-four sites with chaplains, flood recovery, feeding, childcare, and other resources.

They will be serving for weeks to come, helping families rebuild their lives. For stories of their ministry at work, click here.

Thank you for responding to this crisis with such amazing generosity. I am honored to serve Jesus with you.

Now there’s more to do. With three hurricanes on the way, millions of people are in danger. Scripture calls us to “seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (1 Chronicles 16:11). Let’s begin praying for God to help those in crisis. Then let’s find ways to be the answer to our prayers.

A Muslim who became a Christian offered this prayer: “O God, I am Mustafah the tailor, and I work at the shop of Muhammad Ali. The whole day long I sit and pull the needle and the thread through the cloth. O God, you are the needle and I am the thread. I am attached to you and I follow you. When the thread tries to slip away from the needle, it becomes tangled and must be cut so that it can be put back in the right place. O God, help me to follow you wherever you may lead me.”

Whose thread are you?

Montana lawmakers are calling on Congress to reform the federal government’s approach to wildfires as the northwest United States suffers from massive blazes.

Sens. Steve Daines and Jon Tester made pleas for action on the floor of the Senate Wednesday amidst one of the worst fire seasons in Montana’s history, the Billings Gazette reports.

We are in constant prayer for all and we are also praying for rain, in JESUS name, Amen!

From Shonda Savage…….

Let’s pray like Jesus prayed…

Father God, Jesus stood up in the boat and said to the wind and the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the winds ceased and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39) And Your Word says in John 14:12-14, that whoever believes in You will do the works that You do and whatever we ask in Your name, You will do it. Therefore Lord, by the power and authority You have given us in Christ Jesus, we speak to Hurricane Irma and say “Peace be still!” Turn and go back into the ocean where no one will be harmed. Protect those lives and properties in the Caribbean Islands. Protect lives and property in FL. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
