Father, thank you for the Word of God. John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. You said to meditate on it day and night and to be careful to do everything that is written in it. Then we will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8) Thank you Holy Spirit for bringing the Word to remembrance today as we need it. (John 14:26)
Oh God, speak the truth to us as the Word sharpens us. For the Word of God is alive and active sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) Sharpen us God, sharpen us up. May our hearts be pure before you. Cleanse us and make us fit for the masters use. Amen
