BREAKING: New Mexico Alliance for Life Statement on Southwestern Women’s Options Patient Death

ALBUQUERQUE: Today it is being reported that a young woman died at University of New Mexico Hospital while receiving emergency medical care after a late-term abortion procedure at Southwestern Women’s Options (SWO) in Albuquerque, NM. On the advice of legal counsel, New Mexico Alliance for Life (NMAFL) will not republish the article, as portions of the woman’s HIPAA protected information has been publicly released and other private information. NMAFL has also confirmed that no lawsuit has been filed on the victim’s behalf in district courts of New Mexico.
“It is important to respect the victim’s privacy and rights to legal counsel without harming any potential lawsuit or other legal action,” said Elisa Martinez NMAFL Executive Director.  “On the advice of our legal counsel, we will not republish any possible HIPAA protected information or private information of the victim for these reasons.”
NMAFL will continue to work to bring about justice for victims in the violations of law and patients’ rights between the University of New Mexico and Southwestern Women’s Options late-term abortion business.  As a result of NMAFL’s work with the Select Panel on Infant Lives, SWO and the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center are currently under criminal investigation by New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas.

TAKE ACTION
SWO’s Curtis Boyd and UNM HSC Chancellor, Paul Roth
NMAFL consulted with the Select Panel on Infant Lives in pointing out the symbiotic relationship between UNM and SWO, which is cause for further investigation.  Last year, NMAFL also reported that Boyd’s faculty contract grants him medical malpractice coverage via taxpayers of New Mexico. How is that coverage being used by UNM for Boyd’s benefit?
What has the Attorney General found? Taxpayers of New Mexico fund his office and staff who have had an entire year to find answers and issue an indictment but rather, have allowed over 100 criminal claims expire. The time for investigating is up– the Attorney General was given overwhelming evidence of systemic violations of both federal and state law– a year ago. Will he choose to do his job and uphold the rule of law or protect the abortion industry?

From Adrian Rogers………

BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Your adversary the devil is prowling about like a roaring lion. Don’t underestimate his power.

Satan is an enemy you need to respect like an electrician who has respect for the wires that carry deadly voltage. He knows where the insulation is and he knows how to handle electricity. If an electrician loses his respect for this power, he is going to be in serious trouble.

ACTION POINT:
Everything may be going great for you right now. You’ve got money in the bank, a good job, good health. You’re dancing through the forest and picking wildflowers. But behind a bush is a lion so deadly, he can pounce on you and swallow you whole. You’ve got to be vigilant.
