A Heart of Worship  By Jeanne Theriault

John 4:23-24 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth.

Having a heart of worship is one who surrenders all to God. All worries, fears and distractions. In moments of worship is when we lay all of our burdens at his Jesus feet. We lift our hearts and worship the Lord in spirit and truth, knowing who he is and what he is able to do for us.

Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name, worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

Worship is engaging with God from the heart. Your spirit should exalt his name with every breath.  God is pleased when you give yourself completely to him.

Psalm 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

Worship times are intended to connect us with God.  Its in those times where we can experience his presence.

Psalm 86:9 All nations you have made will come and worship before you O Lord they will bring glory to your name.

Psalm 95:6 Come let us bow down and worship let us kneel before the Lord our  Maker.

Psalm 99:9 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool he is holy.

Psalm 100:2 Worship the Lord with gladness, come before him with joyful songs.

James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you.

When worshiping the Lord we enter into  his presence  where there is healing, peace, joy, strength, and victory. Forgetting about our situation and turning our hearts to God. When we worship God it affirms his power and victory over every situation we face. God receives the glory and our faith is  increased and the enemy is terrified and his plans are confounded. The enemy knows the power of worship and he will try to distract you. The enemy has no chance of winning against  people who are consumed with worshiping God for their victory. When we worship God it is a declaration and victory cries of proclamation faith to stand firm in the place God has given you. Worship is a prayer of the heart it is having intimacy with God. He knows every battle you face. Worship him  with thanksgiving.

Psalm 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life you will fill me with joy in your presence with eternal pleasure at your right hand.

Psalm 138:2 I will bow down toward your holy temple and I will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. When I call you answer me you made me bold and southhearted.

Thank you Lord that you have created me to worship you in spirit and in truth. As I  draw near to you fill my heart with your glory, let me feel your presence giving you all the glory , praise and honor  thanksgiving. Amen
