When will it end? When will the state of New Mexico stop killing its children? If the state won’t – why should anyone else? With New Mexico leading in child abuse one would think that the legislators that are elected to protect it’s citizens would have voted yes on a no nonsense bill that would protect the smallest of New Mexico citizens. They did not.
Instead, Rep. Eliseo Alcon, (McKinley, Cibola) Rep. Deborah Armstrong ( ABQ) and Rep. Patricia Caballero (ABQ) chose the death sentence for babies born alive during an abortion. Despite testimony after testimony of how this would NOT take away the “precious” right of abortion to New Mexico women – they still clung to protecting those that take away the right to live for babies who are left to die – or worse – after being born alive during an abortion. May God have mercy on your souls.
The danger to this is that the Pro Death side insists that a baby has no rights until it leaves the body of its mother…well now it appears he or she has no rights outside of the mother as well. What’s next? No rights until the child walks? or until the first day of school?
After reading all the comments made on the various posts exposing the death sentence the New Mexico Democrats imposed on its tiniest citizens – I have become encouraged that maybe New Mexico residents are finally waking up to the horror of what is happening in our state.
To all of who fight for life – I want to encourage you with words that our Lord gave me 
this morning. In the book of Numbers 14: 9 (NLT) – Joshua and Caleb tell the people of Israel, after scouting out the Promised Land, “Do not rebel against the Lord and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. The are helpless prey to us! THEY HAVE NO PROTECTION, BUT THE LORD IS WITH US!”
Brothers and sisters, let’s not be like the children of Israel that grumbled against the Lord and were fearful of the Promised Land which God said he would give to them. Let us instead be like Caleb and Joshua who believed that God would deliver them and give them victory. God WILL give us victory! The spiritual battle is shifting. Don’t give up!
God is working… God has a plan. Continue on the good fight and be obedient and watch what OUR GOD CAN DO!

Thank you to Representative Monica Youngblood for her line of questioning that honed in on the true meaning behind this bill which was to save New Mexico babies lives. This bill was NOT to deny a women her right to chose which the Pro Abortion side wanted everyone to think. Thank you for your votes for life Representative Youngblood & Representative Bob Wooley. Thank you to all who came to the Roundhouse to testify and be witnesses for HB 37.
In closing let me remind you of yet another verse God wants us to remember, “So… do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.

What HB 37 was about: Infant Born Alive Protection Act: Currently, infants who survive late-term abortions at 24 weeks and beyond in New Mexico are left to die or without basic care like a warm blanket. HB 37 would require infants who survive abortions are given palliative (comfort) care or medical care, if necessary. According to the CDC, there are over 500 cases of infants surviving abortions across the country. The UNM chief abortionist, Dr. Eve Espey admits “OB-GYNs do not ressussitate neonates” showing signs of life after late-term abortions at UNM Hospital.
