Democrats call for AG Jeff Sessions to resign after revelations of contact with Russian envoy during campaign
Attorney General Jeff Sessions met with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergei Kislyak during the 2016 presidential campaign, his spokeswoman confirmed to NBC News Wednesday night, raising questions about whether he misled the Senate Judiciary Committee during his confirmation hearing in January. Sessions late Wednesday denied meeting with the Russian envoy ‘to discuss issues of the campaign.’ Democrats pounced on the news, calling for Sessions to resign immediately.
