Pastor Ricky Gordon and I got home late last night from Reserve, New Mexico. The Abortion Awareness Meeting at the First Baptist Church in Reserve was a huge success!

Cathy Donovan and all the folks from the Baptist Church did an awesome job!Powerful people of God!!! Laura Rosecrans of the Hub of NM gave an awesome presentation as did Lynnette Carter of Living Hope Women’s Center in Show Low, Arizona! Praise God! Great to see all my friends in Reserve! Love you all!!

I was blessed to be with all my friends from Reserve and Catron County! PTL! I gave an update as to what has been occurring at the New Mexico State Capital with the Legislature and pro-life issues.

Pictured at top is Pastor Keith Riddle of Joy Fellowship in Reserve who spoke yesterday at the meeting, bottom, Pastor Ricky Gordon of FGGAM with Elisa Martinez of New Mexico Alliance for Life. The picture of Pastor Ricky and Elisa was last Sunday at the State Capital before the Church service at the Capital. Elisa asked Ricky to share his testimony with the House Committee and he did an awesome job! He also gave his testimony yesterday.

Pastor Keith, who is also the Catron County Clerk, spoke on how frustrating it is to see the New Mexico legislature continue to vote down pro-life legislation. Pastor Ricky spoke on behalf of men who have no say in a woman having an abortion.

Laura Rosecrans of the HUB of New Mexico gave such an awesome presentation on the evils of abortion and her own testimony about having an abortion and how she recovered. God is our healer. Laura now spends all of her time speaking out against abortion and helping women heal. Pastor Keith and Pastor Ricky both speak out boldly against abortion. We need more men to do the same!

Laura said this, “Sixty-five percent of the women who will have an abortion this week were in church yesterday. Evangelical and Catholic women will pay Planned Parenthood $100 million this year for abortions.”

My prayer is that all Churches will stand in the gap for God’s Babies!

I am thankful for the unity that is building in New Mexico to defeat abortion!

This post is from March of 2016………..

Church programsA few years ago after preaching at a church in Albuquerque, I had a man come up to me afterwards and says, “I liked your message, but I why did you preach so much on abortion, I don’t know if this is the place to do that.”

I just kind’a shook my head and said, “This is the place friend, that the message needs to be heard”

If not the Church, who? where?

That of course did not stop me, in fact it probably has intensified my preaching for the sanctity of life!

I like to say as the pulpit goes, the country goes…..and look what we got!

Killing baby after baby…….

Laura Rosecrans of The HUB of New Mexico forwarded me this excellent post from Care Net:

A great axiom of ministry is, “as the pulpit goes, so goes the church.” The preaching of God’s Word in a church dictates how the people view the Scriptures, and it’s teaching. More specifically, what is emphasized from the pulpit is often most embraced and embodied by God’s people. I’ve seen this dynamic play out over and over again. This realization is a heavy weight for any pastor to bear, deciding what to preach on, and what not to.
