“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (Matthew 6:34, The Message)
Today’s post goes in line with what I have written throughout this week. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in tomorrow that we forget about today. Don’t get me wrong, it is extremely important that we plan and prepare for the future, but there needs to be a balance between preparing for tomorrow and taking care of today.
You may be finding yourself in winter season or season of waiting as I have written about this week. If that’s the case and you’re struggling with what to do, ask yourself, “What can I do today?” If worrying or preparing for your future is consuming your time, you must ask what can be done today. If you don’t act on today, your future that you are spending so much time preparing for will never come. It’s your actions today that lead you to the plan God has for you tomorrow.
I encourage you, don’t forget about your future, but also, don’t forget about today. What can you do today?
