LORD, I love America, and I know You love her far more than I could ever imagine. You are a loving and merciful God; for this I am extremely grateful. Father, I know all too well that America does not deserve Your mercy and grace, neither did I. Would You extend mercy and grace to her anyway, please Sir? For the sake of Your Kingdom; for the sake of Your Holy Name; for the sake of those who have lost their way; for the sake of the blinded lost souls under the influence of the evil one . . . if I could be so bold . . . if You can find 50,000 righteous believers, would You spare the nation from herself?
LORD, I know Your heart as much as I can know it. I am not playing an Abraham game with You. I truly love this nation. I went to war for her, and for reasons I cannot explain or understand, You allowed me to return home. I am extremely grateful. But, as brother Dewey Moede reminded me, many, many did not come home. Many thousands have given their life’s blood for America; so many great sacrifices. LORD, no sacrifice equal to Your Son’s, but sacrificing nonetheless. Because You understand the price of a life for the love of others, may I press my boldness to ask that You bring an end to the evil happenings in our nation for the sake of 30,000 righteous followers of Jesus?
LORD Jesus, my heart and soul is grieving for the many varied inner assaults against our security and economy; won’t You please send us a mighty revival within our churches, and simultaneously hover over the whole land by Your Holy Spirit bringing a conviction of sin and of righteousness to all resulting in millions upon millions to be saved. LORD, forgive my pressing, but I care beyond myself that You might grant my heart’s desire.
