Barnabas, Step Up The Church Needs You! ~By Stephen Lewis

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Acts chapter 4:36 reads:

And Joses who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus.

He was called an encourager because he came along side other to lift them up and be there for them. We need more Christian Men and Woman to step up and be like Barnabas now more than ever. Our world is a mess and people need to know that they are cared about. When others would not accept Paul becoming a Christian, Barnabas stood in the gap for him and represented him so that the disciples would accept him into the ministry.

As true followers of Jesus Christ we too need to stay alert for those who need to be encouraged in ministry. There are many of you working for the Lord who at times seem like you have no one to lean on. You give and give of yourselves and at the end of the day you are drained. This is where the Barnabas type of person can come along beside you to be a blessing mentally and spiritually. To give you that extra boost you may need to keep moving forward in what you are doing for God’s Kingdom.

For those of you out there right now who give of yourselves so that God gets the glory, for the one’s working hard to be there for your families, the down and outers and even those who help others or are in Ministry. This is for you:

“Heavenly Father I pray in Jesus’ Mighty Name right now that you raise up Barnabas’ among us to encourage us, love us and to be there for us as we go through our daily lives both in our homes as well as in Ministry. We all need encouragement especially at times when we feel drained or alone. Strengthen us Lord and also for those of us, who have a heart to encourage others, show us opportunities so that we can inspire others in their daily walk, I ask these things in Jesus Precious Holy Name, A-Men”

1 Thessalonians 5:11~ Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

I hope this message encouraged you today, God Bless You and Yours!
